Vicki And Jeana's Excellent Adventure
Vicki Gunvalson reveals more about her vacation with the Keoughs to Mexico!
I wanted to take my kids on a family vacation and asked Jeana to join me because I knew she needed to get away also. Donn could not come as he was traveling with business, so I thought it would be fun to show Jeana my condo. I didn't have any reservations at all, because she and I had traveled together on other trips and it was a lot of fun. We had a fabulous time together. All the kids got along great, and it was fun for me to show Jeana another part of my life.
I have been going to Puerto Vallarta for almost 20 years to our condo at Lindo Mar. My mother and father were original owners, and after my father passed away, we decided to purchase it for my family's use. We have great memories there, and it is always an amazing time. I usually go there in January with my sister Lisa, her husband Terry, and my brother Billy, so it was different for me to bring a friend instead of a family member. I hope the Keoughs will join us again sometime.
And I would absolutely invite other families with us next time. I love Puerto Vallarta, and want everyone in my life who is interested to have the opportunity to experience it. We are extremely blessed having this penthouse condo, and always will invite people that are close to us to enjoy it with us.
I have been going to Puerto Vallarta for a long time, and I have a friend named Antonio who always helps me with "things to do" and fun excursions. I have always wanted to do the zip line, and wanted the kids to experience it. Jeana and her kids were scheduled to go also, but decided at the last minute not to go. I think they really missed out on one of the best excursions I have ever done. It was a blast! If anyone wants to go to Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend zip-lining and horseback riding. You really get to see the "real Mexico," and it makes you feel very fortunate with how privileged we all are living in the States. I always take Michael and Briana to the local villages and we provide them with clothing, money, household goods, and anything else that is needed. Two years ago, Donn and I provided money and resources so our friend Antonio could build a bathroom for him and his wife and his three children. Up until then, they were bathing in the river and using public outhouses for themselves.
Jeana's comment to Lauren is actually a standing joke that Jeana always says, and I don't think any of us took it seriously. However, I didn't think it was very nice as this was the first time she met Lauren, and I didn't want Lauren to feel uncomfortable. I talked to Lauren about it later that night and told her Jeana was just kidding around, and she was fine with it. I think it was disrespectful to Lauren, but we moved on and didn't really bring it up again.
