Braunwyn Windham-Burke may seem like the ultimate California girl, but The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member actually lived in Florida for some time. The mom of seven recently opened up about living in the the Sunshine State, and what motivated her to pack up and bring her family back to Orange County.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Peacock and the Bravo App.

During a series of Instagram Stories in which she gave her followers the opportunity to ask her “anything,” Braunwyn received the question, “Why did you really leave Florida?”

“We left because the kid wanted to go to school in California and we grew up here! I grew up in Laguna,” she explained.

Braunwyn has previously discussed her home in Miami with Bravo Insider, in the video above. When sharing a tour of the "Love Shack" space she and Sean used as a hangout spot to unwind with their friends, Braunwyn explained that their previous Florida living arrangement also included a kids-free zone.

"In Miami, we had a place of our own," she said. "We had six kids at the time, and we realized that we were a better couple if we had our own place."

Though Braunwyn's life in Florida sounds pretty fabulous, it's easy to see why she was ready to head back to the West Coast. She seems to spend as much time as she can enjoying the ocean, such as the Laguna Beach staycation she took in June.
