Emily Simpson Shares Her Go-To Breakfast and More Details on Her Eating Habits
The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed her must-have meals and shared what foods she cut out to feel "better overall."
Emily Simpson is continuing to document her heath journey. In July, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member revealed she was down 35 pounds at the time, and was working toward a goal weight she had in mind. "For the past few months I’ve been working out [seven] days a week on average,” Emily shared after a social media user asked about her “exercise program.”
In addition to revealing the details of her workout regimen, which includes "15-20 minutes of cardio followed by about 45 minutes of weights and then I end with 10 minutes of cardio," The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member recently answered a few questions about her diet regimen as well.
Emily Simpson shares her breakfast, lunch, and dinner routine
Taking to her Instagram Stories on August 21, Emily answered a few of her follower's burning questions about her health journey.
When a fan inquired about Emily's "go to breakfast," the Orange County mom replied, "I only do eggs, a protein shake, or nothing (fasting) for breakfast," adding another go-to: her coffee order at Peet's Coffee "(cortado with oat milk)."
Additionally, when another follower questioned Emily's "lunch and dinner" necessities, the volunteer lawyer offered a little peek into a day in the life with the Simpsons. "Yesterday lunch Annabelle and I went to Board and Brew...I got the Turkado with a gluten free wrap and no cheese."
Moreover, considering the topic of counting calories, Emily revealed she doesn't "count anything," calling it "a great way to fail." She added: "I focused on changing my diet completely and lifting weights."
Answering one last question from her followers, Emily clarified the foods she removed from her diet. "I really try to avoid dairy and I cut most of it out. I don't drink milk, or eat cheese or yogurt. First of all, it gives me terrible stomach aches [...] so cutting most of it out has just helped me feel better overall."
She continued: "It's also not great for my joints and it makes my face break out. I use oat milk in my coffee and almond milk in my protein shakes."
Emily Simpson shares details on her upper eyelid surgery
Earlier in August, we caught up with Emily when she made another change: upper eyelid surgery.
“I have noticed recently that every time I take a photo, you can’t see my eyes anymore,” she explained in an Instagram Story video with her plastic surgeon. “Dr. Agha said that it’s because when you get older, right, the skin up here gets heavier and it falls down over your eyes.”
While the doctor explained it was a "small surgery," he noted it would have "a significant impact" since there was a "good amount of eyelid skin" that was being removed.
