Emily Simpson Shares a Look at Her Intense Ab Workout
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member showed off a part of her gym routine.
Emily Simpson seldom misses a day at the gym. The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member has kicked her workout regime up a notch in the past few months, and says that all the exercise has given her a ton of energy. Plus, as a recent Instagram video shows, it's helping her develop ultra-strong abs.
Emily has previously spilled the tea about how she's given her wellness regimen a reboot. On July 15, the California mama shared several details about her daily habits during an ask-me-anything session on Instagram. “For the past few months I’ve been working out [seven] days a week on average,” Emily shared after a fan asked about her “exercise program.”
“Of course I miss a day here and there but it’s not often,” Emily continued. “I do 15-20 minutes of cardio followed by about 45 minutes of weights and then I end with 10 minutes of cardio.”
When a follower asked Emily how much weight she's lost since upping her workouts, the RHOC cast member replied, “I think 35 pounds as of now. I have a goal weight in mind and I haven’t reached it yet. It’s what I weighed through my 30s.”
Emily's post continued: “I weigh myself weekly with [trainer Paulina Hefferan] and she has strict instructions to only tell me when I reach that goal (if I ever reach it).”

Emily referenced Paulina again in her October 23 Instagram Stories, which showed her mid-workout. The volunteer attorney was seen doing cable crunches as Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" played in the background.
The RHOC cast member tagged her trainer in the post, and added a few spiral-eyed emoji that seemed to indicate how grueling the workout was. "Abs," she wrote in the caption.
Emily Simpson's Daily Diet
In Emily's midsummer AMA, she'd spilled the details on how she fuels herself for her workouts. “I have a protein shake every morning after I work out,” she wrote. “For lunch I make two eggs with salsa and vegan cheese with sliced avocado. I eat this almost every day. I found that it’s easier to just find things you like and repeat instead of trying to be creative.”
Writing about her former eating habits, the Orange County beauty confessed: "I struggled with ‘mindless eating.’ I honestly never paid much attention to what I ate and I never planned meals. I would eat mindlessly all day and then think I never ate anything.”
