Braunwyn Is Cooking for 10 in Her Gorgeous New Kitchen During Self-Isolation
The RHOC mom keeps it "easy and clean" when cooking vegetarian meals for a crowd.
Cooking for a family of nine is a feat on its own, but it certainly requires additional planning when everyone is required to stay at home to self-isolate to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Braunwyn Windham-Burke has it all under control, though. The Real Housewives of Orange County mom shared an update with BravoTV.com from the kitchen of her brand new home, and explained how she makes things easier to handle.
Besides keeping up with the new kitchen hours she has implemented, Braunwyn said she sticks to simple meals.
“We have been hunkered down for little over a week now, and one of my favorite things to cook is, I make pasta,” she explained. “I make two kinds. Gluten-free for Caden, and regular for the rest. I sort of just throw whatever I have in there. So tonight, I have a stroganoff sort of thing going. So, we use fake meat since we’re all vegetarian—well, sometimes Sean and I cheat—but we do the fake meat, we have the mushroom sauce, and then I kind of just go through and I throw whatever I have in my freezer.”
Braunwyn said that the family stocked up on plenty of frozen food before beginning self-isolation, as they knew it would most likely last for an extended period of time.
“Basically, it keeps it easy and clean. At home with seven kids, it’s very easy for the mess to get bigger than me, especially since we let our housekeeper stay home while this is all going, so I definitely try to keep it small,” she said. “In a little bit, I’ll make a salad, and that’s it! Easy peasy.”
Braunwyn also shared a general update on how the family is doing throughout this uncertain time.
“As far as the kids, everyone is doing great. We are all together,” she said. “Our oldest is home from college for a while, her boyfriend is staying with us for a little bit, until this is all over, too. So we just have a big, full, crowded house and you know, it’s going well. At least they have each other and we’re always having a great time.
“I hope you guys are all doing great. Stay safe, stay healthy. You know what? It’s all going to be okay.”
