Shannon Shares a Peek Inside Daughter Sophie's New Dorm Room at Baylor University
Shannon Storms Beador sent her daughter packing with a custom headboard, a new bedskirt, and "a lot, a lot" of other dorm-room decor.
Housewives are working their small-space design skills these days. After The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Sutton Stracke dropped her daughter off at college in Virginia — and left Porter in the cutest, pink-and-white room — it was Shannon Storms Beador's turn to see her own mini-me off.
And as The Real Housewives of Orange County mama helped Sophie get settled at Baylor University, she made sure to leave her in the cushiest possible dorm room.
In a video she filmed in the wee hours of the morning before jetting off to Texas, Shannon shared that she'd ordered some custom furniture for Sophie's new home. The bleary-eyed mama — who'd been up packing until 2 a.m. — said: "I had headboards made — organic. I had a bedskirt made. A lot, a lot of stuff. So, yeah! Get ready. I'm gonna post that stuff in 48 hours."
True to her word, the QVC foodie returned shortly to Instagram Stories, and shared a video of Sophie standing in her cozy new room. As the inbound freshman added clean sheets to her mattress, Shannon quipped: "Sophie, making her bed! Is this for the first time?"
The bed in question had a tufted headboard covered in dark a gray fabric. Beside the bed, a cheerful garland of pink, yellow, and orange fringe hung above a mirror.
And after Sophie was all settled in to her cute digs, Shannon headed to a local Mexican restaurant to toast with a friend. "Sweaty, tired but everything moved into the dorm ..." she wrote in her Stories. She piped in to add: "We just moved Sophie into her dorm room, and now we're ... having a much-needed [tequila.]"
