“I’m here at my condo that I’m building, and it’s moving along,” The Real Housewives of Orange County alum shared in a July 18 video while showing the progress. “It’ll be ready in April.”

In a January 2022 Instagram post that showed the new property’s pool and view, Vicki revealed she was “in escrow” and expected the home to be “built [and] ready in 20 months.” Based on her recent Instagram Story, it seems she is completely redoing the outdoor area in addition to the interior.

Why did Vicki Gunvalson buy another Puerto Vallarta property?

In a separate clip, Vicki explained why she’s “buying another condo here in Puerto Vallarta” after she bought a beautiful “vacation/retirement house” there in 2020

“I love Puerto Vallarta, as most of you know. The condo that I’m in the process of owning, building… [is] going to be rental income for my retirement,” she explained in a video filmed in her current condo. “So I’m looking forward to that thing getting finished, but I am not getting rid of this one. This is the most incredible place ever that I’ve owned [for] almost three years now, and I just love it here.”

Vicki announced she had purchased her primary condo in May 2020. “After spending over 30 years in one of my favorite places in the world, I closed on my vacation/retirement house today,” she captioned her post, later adding in a July 2020 Instagram Story that she had “lots to do to make it a ‘home.’”

By September of that year, Vicki had made gorgeous progress on furnishing the home. In her Instagram Stories, she showed her colorful dining room and living rooms, a wraparound balcony with multiple seating areas and a whirlpool, and beautiful bedrooms that perfectly complement the apartment’s oceanfront setting.

Vicki has been making many big real estate moves over the past few years, including buying a “vacation/rental” house in North Carolina in 2020 that she sold six months later, after one day on the market
