Back in August, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum bought a lake house in North Carolina so that she could be closer to her daughter, Briana, and her growing family. But, just as she made her new Mexico condo a little more "Vicki," the insurance pro is making some serious tweaks to the lakeside house.

On October 7, Vicki announced that construction had begun on the home. At that point, the hall bathroom had been gutted, and a central fireplace seemed to be getting a facelift, as well. And when Vicki returned to Instagram just a couple of weeks later, she had more lake-house updates to share.

"Bathtub removed, new tiled shower being installed, all new outdoor lighting, new ceiling fans and new indoor lighting," she announced triumphantly. "I’ll be there in a few weeks and plan on 'camping' out there for a few nights with grandsons while Briana recovers from her c-section. I’m so excited to have this incredible home be part of the retirement plan."
