Lydia McLaughlin’s Mom Tried Her Best at Baking a Birthday Cake for Her Grandkid: “It’s a Little off But So Am I!”
Judy Stirling made this birthday confection with love, and there is nothing better than that.
There's certainly something alluring about a fancy store-bought cake, but who can resist one that's homemade with love? When Lydia McLaughlin's son Stirling turned 10, his grandmother Judy Stirling celebrated her grandson's special day by baking him a towering dessert. And though she was humble about her efforts, we're melting over how sweet it all is.
The proud grandma showed off her creation in a February 6 Instagram post. Frosted with pale-blue icing, the three-tier cake was covered in Legos. In her caption, the budding baker wrote: "My homemade Lego Birthday cake for Stirling! It’s a little off but so am I!"
Can you stand it?
And even though she feared her creation was a little off, Judy later posted to report: "Stirling loved his cake!"
What 10-year-old boy wouldn't love a cake that's covered in Legos? Great work, Grandma!
