Ashley Darby Has a Message for Haters Calling Out Her "Bunions" and "Big Forehead"
The Real Housewives of Potomac stunner let loose with an empowering speech about embracing perceived flaws.
For anyone who struggles with insecurities (that'd be all humans, right?), Ashley Darby has a message: You are perfect and beautiful. OK, you have our attention, Ashley!
On May 3, The Real Housewives of Potomac beauty took to Instagram stories with a message of empowerment that was apparently fueled by a troll's insensitive comments. "I recently got a very interesting message from a lady asking me: how do you feel comfortable showing your feet?" Ashley shared.
She continued: "It's no secret I have bunions. I was born with them; as I've gotten older, my feet have progressively gotten worse." But if you think that makes the entrepreneur want to hide in the sand ... well, you know Ashley better than that.
"Now hear this my loves," she said. "My feet they get me from point A to point B to C and right back to A again. So there is never any way that I would be ashamed of who I am. Check it out. This is who I am: blisters, bunions." And, might we add, fabulous pedicure:
The Potomac yoga buff continued to touch on ways we can all use social media to champion being real, bunions and all.
"This is one of the best things about social media and living in an age of sharing information is previously these things were seen as imperfections ... No, babe, everyone has imperfections," she said. "So the next time someone tries to come at you sideways because maybe you have a larger forehead — yes I know I have a big forehead, there's a lot of knowledge up in here — or because your booty doesn't look like the ones in the magazines or music videos, Boo! You are you. Perfect just the way [you are.]"
