Which Real Housewives Have Dated Russell Simmons?
#RHOP 'Wife Katie Rost isn't the mogul's only connection to Bravo.
You can learn a lot about someone during a game of Shag, Marry, Kill. We certainly got to know a lot more about Katie Rost's past loves as The Real Housewives of Potomac ladies played the game to pass the time during their road trip to Delaware's Bethany Beach, including all about her past relationship with Russell Simmons.
Though things didn't end well between Katie and Russell (he started dating someone else while she was still living in his apartment, she "flipped out" on him before writing a few blog posts about the whole ordeal), the two worked things out and remain friends to this day. Katie even has Russell on speed dial.
So it sounds like it wouldn't be awkward at all if Russell popped up on RHOP in the future. In fact, we've seen him schmoozing with Bravolebs on screen quite a bit over the years.
Katie isn't even the first 'Wife Russell has dated. As you might recall, Cynthia Bailey is another one of Russell's former flames. The Def Jam co-founder even proposed to Cynthia, but she turned him down, Cynthia's current husband Peter Thomas told Essence in November 2010. Russell was kind enough to lend his expertise as a music and fashion mogul to give Cynthia some advice on The Bailey Agency School of Fashion during Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But, as we all know, Russell is a busy guy, so he could only meet with Cynthia during his yoga class, which did not go well.
Russell is also friends with Kelly Killoren Bensimon, who invited her Real Housewives of New York City castmates to Russell's fashion show for his new menswear collection in Season 2. However, it was more of a fashion showdown as Ramona Singer and Simon van Kempen got into an argument in the front row.
Things were a lot more peaceful when Russell appeared on Euros of Hollywood to lend some advice to cast member Bleona as she tried to deal with some drama with Fawni.
Russell even hangs out with Bravolebs off camera. He joined Phaedra Parks in Flint, Michigan last month in lending support during the city's water crisis.
