Candiace Dillard: I’m Wary, But Still Very Open to Ashley
"As we work toward finding the rest of the letters in our ‘ship, I hope to get to a place of true authenticity on Ashley’s end."
Bravotv.com: How difficult was it having Chris go back to work a couple days after your wedding?
Candiace Dillard: I had gotten so used to Chris being off for wedding week, I got SPOILED. I hate anytime he has to leave me for work because I’m always ready for our play time! The only saving grace is that I can actually get work done when he’s at work. When he’s home, all I want to do is cuddle!
Bravotv.com: We see Ashley refer to your relationship as "freh" and not quite friends. How did you feel about that?
CD: I cracked up when I saw Ashely’s description of our “Freh-ship.” I would venture to say this is one of the few facts Ashley has gotten right in her story telling life! At this point in the season, I’m wary, but still very open to Ashley — even taking into account her many shenanigans. I want her to be well and that starts with being honest with ourselves. What is a “Freh” if not a good old fashioned accountability partner?! As we work toward finding the rest of the letters in our ‘ship, I hope to get to a place of true authenticity on Ashley’s end.
Bravotv.com: What were your first impressions of Katie Rost?
CD: Katie is a whole entire hoot and a half and I was thoroughly entertained from the moment she breezed into the party. I thought her little offhanded comment about warning me about marriage was comical, clearly a projection of her own marital contention (gotta learn to spot projection in this group) and I hardly took offense to it. Katie is a smart woman and she’s sharp and witty so I was totally here for her brand of crazy right off the bat.
Bravotv.com: A group of you stayed after hours partying and it looked like a lot of fun. What are your feelings on the overall evening?
CD: I thought I was hearing things in reference to the comment in question from Michael. I wasn’t sure I heard what I heard. I actually believe Ashley heard it too...I’m not sure. What I do know is, I don’t want to believe I’ve heard what I’ve heard, I don’t want to repeat it and I’m not prepared to bring it up to the group. I’m definitely looking at the Darbys with a squinty eye now, however.
