Sherman Just Made Gizelle Bryant Feel Like a Complete "Idiot"

Bravotv.com: What were you thinking when Gizelle called you before Candiace's wedding and she told you that Sherman wasn’t going with her?

Robyn Dixon: My first thought was probably a little selfish because Juan was really looking forward to hanging out with Sherman at the wedding. In fact, I did not tell him until we arrived at the wedding that Sherman was not coming. Had I told Juan that Sherman backed out, I may have been rolling solo to the wedding!

Really though, I was so disappointed and could not believe what I was hearing. Gizelle and Sherman were making strides in their relationship and Gizelle was happy spending time with him. I couldn’t believe that he was allowing other people and their messiness get in the way of supporting his woman and enjoying a beautiful day with her. Hearing the pain and frustration in Gizelle’s voice hurt my heart!

Bravotv.com: You mention it being a big step in your relationship with Juan that you attended the wedding together. How did that feel?

RD: Years ago, during our marriage, I attended many weddings by myself. Juan would either have some sort of professional conflict or simply would not want to go. That always frustrated and hurt me and was very indicative of the strength and status of our relationship – weak and distant. So years later, after lots of ups and downs, struggles and growth, attending a wedding together as a couple was a BIG deal! It felt great to not only attend the wedding together but to have an amazing and fun time together at the wedding.

Candiace Dillard and Chris Bassett Exchange Wedding Vows

Bravotv.com: What did you think of Candiace's big day?

RD: Even without seeing the ceremony in person, I can truly say that Candiace’s wedding was the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. The room was breathtaking and everything was impeccable. And more importantly, the wedding was FUN! The bar was open and flowing and the music kept us on the dance floor. Thankfully I brought my flats to change into!

Bravotv.com: Were you surprised Candiace came out and performed a song?

RD: Ha! Surprised?!?! Of course not. We are talking about Candiace here - the woman that loves to hear herself sing at all hours of the day. I would have been surprised if Candiace did NOT perform a song. Seriously though, Candiace killed that song. It was beautifully written and performed. She should be extremely proud of herself.

Bravotv.com: We see Juan kind of fight for Gizelle and Sherman’s relationship when he was talking to her at the reception. Did that surprise you?

RD: Juan’s conversation with Gizelle about Sherman did not surprise me at all. I believe Juan and Sherman had private conversations in the past where Sherman expressed his love for Gizelle. Juan believed that Sherman truly wanted to be with Gizelle, but there was something that he just couldn’t get past when it came to being around the other ladies in the group, especially in front of the cameras. Juan wanted Gizelle to give Sherman the benefit of the doubt. Little did Juan know, there was nothing he could say to Gizelle that would have helped Sherman’s case!
