Are Ashley and Michael Darby Separated with Benefits?

When Ashley Darby revealed on the October 9 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac that she planned to buy a house with Michael Darby amid their separation, her castmates — and viewers at home — wasted no time weighing in on the matter. However, on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen the same night, Ashley made it clear that she stands by the decision.

How to Watch

During the WWHL episode, Andy asked Ashley, “What was your reaction to the women’s concern when you said that Michael and you were buying another house?”

Ashley responded, “I actually found it kind of comical that everyone got so upset about it and questioned it so much.”

“Michael is a real estate developer,” she continued. “He does real estate for a living. Buying a house is hard work, honey, so if he could make the process a little easier, then I was gonna do that with him. And we’re still legally married.”

Although Ashley shared on the RHOP episode that she “made an offer” on a house, Andy explains in the WWHL clip above that Ashley and Michael are “still, to this day, cohabitating in [their] condo.” In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ashley opened up about continuing to live with Michael and their two sons, Dylan and Dean, for the time being.

“We are operating as Dean and Dylan’s parents,” she said. “We still do things as a family, so every Saturday and Sunday we’re together, we have dinner together. We have breakfast together, but conversation outside of things that pertain to the children is very small.”
