The Miss America pageant is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and Ashley Darby took to Instagram to pay homage to the organization that changed her life. She also posted a string of photos from the year that she took home the Miss District of Columbia crown, offering her followers a tiara-capped trip down memory lane.
"You changed my life 9 years ago, and I, like many other young women, will forever be thankful," The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member wrote in her post. "Happy 100th birthday, [Miss America]." The first photo showed Ashley clutching a giant bouquet in front of her glittering green evening gown, smiling as she was named Miss D.C.
In the photos that followed, Ashley showed off more gowns from her pageant days. She wore a silky royal blue number and an elegant white dress that was covered in pearls.
To show off her more casual side, the Potomac mama posed for a photo wearing a fitted tank top, and her hairstyle featured the cutest set of bangs. Finally, for what seemed to be the talent portion, Ashley wore a bright red dress covered in white polka dots.
Though Ashley showed a variety of looks, there was one common theme that Stephanie Hollman summed up in the comments. "Always so pretty," the Dallas mama wrote.
