See the Incredible Way Gizelle Bryant "Changed the Menu" This Thanksgiving
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member's non-traditional holiday menu included Jamal Bryant's "favorite" dessert.
Gizelle Bryant was more than happy to put a twist on her Thanksgiving dinner. "We changed the menu this year to crab legs," The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member wrote on Instagram. "I’m so grateful and blessed. My family is amazing."
As Gizelle previously explained on Bravo's Chat Room, the idea for a new holiday meal was initiated by her daughters, Angel, Adore, and Grace. "My girls came to me all at once and that's always very scary," she said during the show's November 23 episode. "They were like, 'Mom we need to talk about Thanksgiving' and I was like, 'Why?' and they were like, ''Cause we don't like Thanksgiving food.' So they said, 'We want to change the menu.'"
At her daughters' request, the family's Thanksgiving dinner included crab legs, shrimp, corn on the cob, sausage, and side salad. "I'm so excited," Gizelle said on the episode as she shared her plans. "We are gonna have, like, an amazing crab legs Thanksgiving."
Gizelle's Bravo's Chat Room cohosts were very into the idea of the new menu. "That's so fun," Below Deck alum Kate Chastain said. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Porsha Williams added, "I love that."
It seems Jamal Bryant had a special request for the holiday meal as well. On Thanksgiving, Gizelle took to her Instagram Stories to show "Jamal's favorite" caramel cake, much of which seemed to have already been enjoyed by the group.
While everyone has different family structures and traditions, spending time with the people we love can make the holidays special. The holidays will look different this year, but we at NBCUniversal believe that Family is Universal. Which is why we’re partnering with Walmart, Verizon, and Progressive in support of Feeding America® and No Kid Hungry, to support families across the country when it matters most.
