Here's How Karen Really Felt About Robyn Bringing Pizza to Her Homecoming Party
The RHOP friends recently revisited a prank from Season 3... but did the grande dame find it funny this time?
Karen Huger threw an instantly-iconic homecoming party to celebrate her return to Potomac on August 23 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. The grande dame carefully planned every detail of the party, from her pink monochromatic suit to the acrobats performing in the backyard. However, there was one moment that was totally out of Karen’s hands, and that was when Robyn Dixon showed up with pizza.
The hilarious gesture was a nod to a prank Robyn pulled in Season 3 with the help of Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby. The ladies were trying to determine whether Karen was actually living in her Great Falls, Virginia mansion, so Robyn dressed up as a pizza delivery man to deliver a pie to her front door. After ringing the doorbell, nobody answered, and Karen later said she had not seen a pizza left on her doorstep when Gizelle inquired about it later.
At the time, the prank had caused a bit of tension, but are they all willing to laugh it off now? Karen revealed how she felt about Robyn’s latest stunt in the pizza delivery saga on the August 29 episode of The Daily Dish podcast.
“You know what? I thought it was super funny. I thought she was hilarious, you know, because to be honest with you, we grow. Most of us grow on this cast,” said Karen. “And I expected her to do it, to be honest. You can’t pull anything over my eyes. No wool over my eyes. No shade.”
“When she brought it, I called my very dear friend Robyn over, I said, ‘Robyn, let’s have a piece of pizza!’ It’s a different day and time from when they did it initially. My mother was sick and that was very inappropriate incident. This was a celebration. This was my party, coming back to Potomac, and nothing was going to dampen that,” Karen continued. “So, I was ready for that. I would have bought the pizza, myself, to be honest, and served it to them. Robyn beat me to the punch on that one.”
