Meredith Marks Explains the Reason Her Family Has Moved So Frequently
The RHOSLC cast member also opened up about why her husband Seth proposing another move was "a trigger" for her.
Meredith Marks’ beautiful home (and its pristine, perfectly organized kitchen) is located in Utah, but on the December 9 episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the luxury jewelry designer had a difficult conversation with her husband, Seth, about the prospect of moving.
When Seth asked how she felt about moving to Ohio, Meredith felt strongly about staying put in Utah. “I have uprooted our family and moved every couple of years for you,” she replied.
In an interview during the episode, Meredith explained exactly why the Marks family has moved around so much.
“Seth is in the closeout and deep discount retail industry, and needs to go hunt for the deals,” she said. “Because of that, we moved to Toronto and back to Chicago and then when we were in Chicago, Seth was commuting every day to Dallas, and then we moved to Park City, and I was running my business on top of it. There definitely was some hostility that that caused in my marriage, for sure.”
Meredith went on to explain why she got emotional over the thought of moving again.
“The reality is that when my oldest son graduated from high school, I was so busy relocating our family once again, I never got to emotionally digest and so, in a certain way, being asked to move again by Seth, it’s just a trigger for me.”
