Lisa Barlow's Son Jack Just Made a Big Change & She Has Some Thoughts: "I Don't Get It"
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City mom reacted to her eldest son's recent transformation.
When Lisa Barlow's son, Jack, told her he was going on a Mormon mission trip, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City mom was somewhat taken aback.
“When he told us, you know, I was crying because I haven’t been involved in the process,” she said to her husband, John Barlow, on the RHOSLC Season 4 premiere “I think I’m still dealing with the emotion that I had no idea and he’s been prepping for a year, and then it makes me think that, you know, maybe he does need more time with me, or maybe he just wants less.”
On Season 4, Episode 8, which aired on October 31, Lisa, John, and Jack gathered to discuss Jack's future. During their conversation, Lisa revealed a few recent changes in Jack's life that were causing her to feel concern.

In a confessional in the episode, Lisa shared how she'd been feeling lately concerning her son's future. "I'm realizing that Jack doesn't have any value in anything I say or feel," Lisa shared in an interview as the scene cut to a previous family dinner where Jack and Lisa shared opposing views on his mission "reveal" party (he wanted a more simple vibe, she called that "boring").
Lisa went on during the interview: "We're in Jack's world right now. It's all like, Jack's doing what Jack's doing. Like ... Jack just got this vibe that he needed frosted tips, I don't get it. Why are we re-living the '90s?"
Lisa Barlow shares a heartfelt message for her son Jack
Though Lisa isn't exactly keen on Jack's hairstyle, she is a supportive mom, taking to her Instagram in September to reflect on her final moments with Jack as he prepared to embark on a years-long Mormon mission.
In an emotional goodbye, the Utah mom posted an Instagram Story that featured Jack's prom photo and wrote a heartfelt message over it.
“You are about to do some really amazing things,” she wrote. “My whole heart is breaking with happiness and love and this insane feeling that I’m not going to be able to breathe until you are home. I miss you every second of every day and I know God will overwhelm you with love and protect you. Being your mom has made me a better person. My love for you is more than my heart can take. God made you so good.”
