Eva Marcille Has Thoughts on “All the Drama That Surrounds” Dorinda’s Berkshires House
The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club cast member explained why Dorinda Medley’s Bluestone Manor is “different” than she expected.
When Eva Marcille learned she was heading to Dorinda Medley’s vacation home on the season premiere of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club, she set out to answer two important questions in an episode interview: “Where are the Berkshires?” and “What the f--k is a Berkshire?”
Once she knew the basics of the home’s location, Eva quickly realized she still had a lot to learn about Bluestone Manor itself. “It’s so funny, because I wasn’t privy to all of what I was supposed to expect in the Berkshires, and at Bluestone Manor in particular,” Eva told BravoTV.com earlier this month. “[I had] never been to the Berkshires. I’ve been to the Hamptons. I’ve been to Martha’s Vineyard. So I thought I had an idea of what to expect. But I didn’t realize the history and the culture around Bluestone Manor in and of itself. How long it’s been there, the Housewives’ history at Bluestone Manor. The fish room. Like, all the drama that surrounds everything that is Bluestone Manor.”
On the show’s season premiere, Dorinda declared, “Bluestone Manor is a very special place. You enter those doors and something happens,” and after staying there, Eva definitely agrees. “You know what, I think it is as enchanted and — I don’t want to say possessed — but I will say inhabited for those that you can see and not see, as people believe,” Eva told BravoTV.com. “It’s a magical place. It’s different.”
Of course, Eva’s time at the house was only enhanced by Dorinda’s incredible hosting. “If Dorinda was not an entertainer by trade, then she would need to go into hospitality,” Eva said. “Because she is the hostess with the mostess. She takes it to heart. Like, every single detail, she is so sincere about. And if you move something, then watch your limbs, because she will chop them off.”
“She’s so serious about making it nice for everyone,” she continued. “And I think that’s what was really beautiful, well, for most of us. Some of us, eh, not so much. But for most of us, we could really appreciate the effort that Dorinda put into trying to accommodate so many women with so many different personalities. It’s like an Olympic sport for her, and she definitely placed. She has a medal.”
