Here’s How Taylor Armstrong Feels About Her Daughter’s $50K Tea Party Today
The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club cast member reflected on the memorably lavish 4th birthday party she threw for Kennedy on Season 1 of RHOBH.
Although lavish events have become a staple on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over the years, one of the first was Taylor Armstrong’s memorable $50,000 tea party for her then-4-year-old daughter, Kennedy, during Season 1.
Nearly 12 years after the over-the-top bash, Taylor once again jumped at the chance to bring her tea party vision to life on the June 30 episode of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club. “Dorinda [Medley] gave us the opportunity to throw our own event, and everyone knows I love a tea party,” Taylor explained in an interview.
“This party is a re-creation of the first season of Beverly Hills… my daughter’s 4th birthday was a Mad Hatter tea party,” Taylor shared with her castmates. Dorinda added, “Everybody was outraged because she spent all this money on her 4-year-old’s birthday.”
So does Taylor have any regrets about the hefty price tag that came with throwing the event for Kennedy? Well, in her own words: “That’s nothing compared to [the] parties that get thrown now.”
As the group enjoyed the tea, alcoholic beverages, and food, Taylor took a moment to acknowledge the significance of the event happening in the present day. “Thank you for celebrating the tea party over again, in my new life,” she said. “As opposed to my old one.”
Naturally, some drama occurred during the event, but Taylor’s expertly planned spread was a good distraction for those not involved. As Phaedra Parks put it: “I’m enjoying the cucumber sandwiches. Can’t we just all get along?”
