On Bravo's Top Chef, head judge Tom Colicchio frequently offers the cheftestants valuable advice. One note in particular, however, has stuck with Carrie Baird. "Tom frowns at a messy station," Carrie, who will appear on Season 18's rotating judging and dining panel, explains in the video above.
Whether someone is cooking as part of an intense Quickfire challenge or whipping up a more casual meal from the comfort of home, staying tidy is especially important when making time-sensitive recipes. "On Top Chef, time is critical and it's no different here at home," Carrie says. "When you're looking for that ladle or [you] misplace your whisk, that is when your pot boils over."
To ensure she doesn't ruin a meal due to a disorganized kitchen, Carrie uses CommandTM Small Brushed Nickel Hook and Command TM Medium Brushed Nickel Hook to hang her herbs as well as keep her cookware tidy and "within easy reach." When ingredients inevitably fall to the floor, Carrie uses the CommandTM Broom Gripper to keep cleaning tools at the ready.
Because the products mount to the wall without the use of any tools, Carrie doesn't have to worry about damaging her home or going through a time-consuming installation process. "No holes, no problem," she explained. To shop these items for yourself, check out the video above and products below.
