Carrie Baird Shows Exactly How to Create a Top Chef-Style Kitchen

On Bravo's Top Chef, head judge Tom Colicchio frequently offers the cheftestants valuable advice. One note in particular, however, has stuck with Carrie Baird. "Tom frowns at a messy station," Carrie, who will appear on Season 18's rotating judging and dining panel, explains in the video above.

Whether someone is cooking as part of an intense Quickfire challenge or whipping up a more casual meal from the comfort of home, staying tidy is especially important when making time-sensitive recipes. "On Top Chef, time is critical and it's no different here at home," Carrie says. "When you're looking for that ladle or [you] misplace your whisk, that is when your pot boils over."
