Padma Lakshmi Stuns in a Glamorous White Dress with a Long, Wonderful History
At the amfAR gala, the Bravo's Top Chef judge was a breath of fresh air in a sleeveless white gown that she'd proudly recycled.
While getting ready for the amfAR Gala on February 5, Padma Lakshmi deadpanned in an Instagram Story: "I'm opening a show tonight, and I'll be introducing Anna Wintour. So the pressure is on." But naturally, the Bravo's Top Chef host kept her cool (and her morals), staying true to her conviction that red carpet gowns shouldn't be worn just once.
Panning over her sleeveless white gown, Padma shared, "I'm wearing Ralph Rucci. This is a dress I've actually had for years. I wore it to the Whitney a few years ago — I love his stuff." (If you'd like a quick fashion-history course, note that Padma wore the gown at the Whitney Gala in 2014 ... but the dress itself was part of Rucci's Spring 2010 collection.)
With her dark hair pulled back into a slick ponytail, the beautiful foodie also wore dangling gold earrings. For her beauty look, makeup artist William Scott swiped on a nude, shiny gloss paired with Make Up Forever's dusky pink "Anywhere Caffeine" shade. He also coated her eyes with shimmery shadow.
