Lala Kent's Latest Look Proves She's Anything But a "Bland Bitch"
The Vanderpump Rules beauty is embracing being a basic bitch in a black leather bustier.
Lala Kent is the fashion gift that keeps on giving. Not only has the Vanderpump Rules stunner made us do a double take earlier this week when she stepped out on the red carpet alongside fiancé Randall Emmett with a rather unexpected hairstyle, but she's also out here giving us the sartorial advice on how to avoid falling on the wrong side of basic-ness. And for this, we are eternally grateful.
As Lala sees it, being basic (or perhaps Next Level Basic, as ordained by fellow PumpRules beauty, Stassi Schroeder) isn't altogether a bad thing. In fact, Lala wants us to fully embrace our basic b tendencies — the only question is... what does Lala define as basic? Because if her most recent ensemble is any indication, we might be on different pages.
On September 30, Lala shared a pic from inside her massive closet as she was dripping with designer duds. "I think it’s good to be a basic bitch," she wrote. "Think about it- you always need the basics. The basics make everything come together. What you don’t want to be is a bland bitch."
Good point! In the pic, Lala is sporting a classic white button-down worn with a black sweater vest (got it) and a pair of black sweatpants with white piping (we can fake that) paired with a back beanie hat (check), black-and-white deco heels (OK... this may require some shopping), and a black patent leather bustier top layered on top (where do I get that?!).
If this is basic for Lala, we can't wait to see her in something she considers outlandish.
