Check Out Kristen Doute's Beautiful Music-Inspired Living Room
With a vintage fireplace and a 1970s guitar on the wall, the room channels the Vanderpump Rules cast member's throwback taste.
When Kristen Doute spoke to The Daily Dish Podcast about her Valley Village home, which she bought about a year ago, she described it as "a1939 fixer-upper." (Watch the clip above to hear part of Kristen's interview.) But the Vanderpump Rules beauty has already done a fine job of fixing that home up, and she showed off her progress in a recent video.
In a tour of her new, "boho-chic" digs, Kristen explains that her living room shows off her fondness for contrasting colors and textures. "I like to mix metals and mix woods and just really, kind of mix it all up, but also keep it really cozy," she says.
Kristen's walls are covered with images and items that carry personal meaning, including framed photos of Stevie Nicks and a vintage Gibson guitar. Kristen also points out her chic marble nesting tables, and the fireplace that she surrounded in Art-Deco-style tiles. The room also has a large sofa plied with mismatched pillows, and a cozy teepee for her pups to lounge in.
Filled with natural light, the room is significantly brighter than it was when Kristen bought the home. "I really love the charm and character of this home, and how old it is," she says. "But, it was also really closed in; it had dark wood floors. So I wanted to just open it up and make it feel light and airy. Take a peek inside in the video below.
