Lala Kent Details Her Exact Food and Fitness Routine
The Vanderpump Rules cast member breaks down her typical daily meals and what her workout regimen looks like.
While showing off her former kitchen in the video above, Lala Kent admitted, "I don't cook," but more recently, the Vanderpump Rules cast member has developed some impressive culinary skills.
In an interview with Women's Health, Lala shared that she now frequently makes her own dinner, which will typically consist of a lean protein, a carb, and a vegetable. One memorable homemade dish, she recalled, was “the best chicken...with goat cheese and cranberries."
For breakfast, Lala tends to eat a plain bagel with cream cheese or eggs with spinach. When it comes time for lunch, sometimes she opts for a salad (with tomato, cucumber, cheese, chicken, and a creamy dressing,) and other times she orders pasta from a nearby restaurant.
In a recent Instagram Story, Lala explained opened up a bit more about her eating habits. "Moderation is key. I don't like 'diets,'" she wrote in part. "Enjoy your life. Eat amazing tasting food...Every body is beautiful, and if you feel confident and happy, that is all that matters."
Exercise is also a major part of her wellness routine, Lala explained to Women's Health. When she hits the gym, which is typically four times per week, Lala admitted, "I'm the type of person who has to take a friend with me who knows what they're doing or work with a trainer.” (Lala's go-to trainer is Jenna Willis.)
After a 10 minute warmup on the elliptical, Lala does free-weight and band exercises to focus on a different body part each day. However, there is one area she tends to give special attention to. “I’m definitely into the bottom part of my body,” she said. Although she considers deadlifts her “worst nightmare,” Lala is always happy she did the exercise after the fact. “I know by the end of it, when I'm walking down the stairs, I'm going to feel it and be glad we did it.”
Another incredibly important daily habit for Lala's health has been dedicating time to breathwork. “Food and exercise is great,” she explained, “but stress will kill us before a f—ing Twinkie.”
“When my mind starts racing, and I can feel the elephant starting to sit on my chest, that's when I know it's time to go and get centered again,” she continued. “I think it's really important to do that.”
