Lala Kent Wore Her Grandmother's Dress and Earrings to the SAG Awards
The Vanderpump Rules stunner revealed that the gorgeous red carpet ensemble was plucked from her grandmama’s closet.
The fascinating details surrounding Lala Kent's stunning gown that she wore to the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 19 just continue to emerge.
We were instantly taken with the red-hot, velvet gown and our interest grew even more when Lala confessed that she briefly suffered a wardrobe malfunction until a very sweet stranger saved her butt (literally). Now, the Vanderpump Rules beauty is sharing some more fun facts about the head-turning ensemble — including its unexpected family connection.
Let us recap. Lala rocked the crimson Old Hollywood-inspired gown when she and fiancé Randall Emmett attended the star-studded event (sitting just a few rows away from legendary actress Meryl Streep, no less). She paired the conservative cut with shoulder-length, high-volume blonde curls, a bold brow, and nude lip. The look was taken to new levels with her glittering crystal cluster drop earrings.
Then, things got real interesting when Lala shared that she had a bit of a bum-baring experience as she entered the event when — gasp — her dress split down the back exposing her rear end! "I almost walked into the SAG awards with my butt hanging out," she confessed on her Instagram Stories. Luckily, Lala (and her ass) was saved by a safety-pin baring benefactor who got her in order before the world was treated to Lala's backside.
Now, Lala has revealed the entire ensemble (including her glittering earrings) were, in fact, her grandmother's! "My grandmama’s earring, and her dress," she wrote on her Instagram post with a close-up shot of the stunning look. "I would give full bod, but I was self-conscious because the dress ripped, so my full butt was out. I’m fine with my booty out for the gram, but people at the SAG Awards are classy AF."
Amazing!
