Brittany Cartwright Had an Epic Response After People Body Shamed Her Maternity Pics
The pregnant Vanderpump Rules alum clapped back at critics of her revealing maternity photo shoot.
Brittany Cartwright is counting down the weeks until the arrival of her first child, a baby boy, with husband Jax Taylor. The Vanderpump Rules alum is gearing up for the momentous occasion of becoming a first-time mommy in the most glamorous fashion: with a sophisticated set of maternity photos that flaunt her bare baby bump.
On February 27, Brittany teased her stunning photo session on Instagram with a sneak peek at the shots, including one moody pic with her and her hubby snuggled up in sleek, all-black ensembles. "From the very moment we got a positive pregnancy test we have loved you more than we could ever imagine," she mused in her caption. But it seems they were only the beginning of her stylish pics with a monochromatic motif.
On March 2, Brittany revealed another glam look from the shoot as she perched on Jax's knee in a body-hugging, white, mini dress with long sleeves and a high neckline. The duo looked every bit the perfect color-blocked couple in contrasting hues. Then, on March 4, Brittany shared a dreamy series of photos as she cradled her naked belly while wearing a diaphanous, white, tulle gown with high-volume sleeves and petite pearls with a racy thigh slit.
The stunning image was capped off with Brittany's classic jewels and flirty pearl-topped, ankle-strapped heels that just so happened to be from her wedding. "Just Me & My Boy," Brittany added in her caption alongside the carousel. "I am SO proud of my body for creating my son!"
Alas, Brittany had to take to her Instagram to defend the very body that she is so proud of in light of recent comments. "If you are a person who comments on a pregnant woman's body in a negative way," her clapback began, "then you, my friend, can rawt in haillll respectfully," she added in reference to her iconic Southern drawl. This isn't the first time Brittany has had to issue a response to body-shamers. Everything from the size of her lips to the shape of her belly has been subject to internet "trolls."
