Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney Share an Update on Something About Her: "Lots of Hoops"

One of the most anticipated sandwich shops in West Hollywood is still not open. For months, Ariana Madix, and Katie Maloney have been talking about their sandwich shop, Something About Her. Due to some delays, the pair started sharing funny updates about the process on social media, including a post they shared back in August.

We have finally got an update from the duo about Something About Her during BravoCon 2023. You can catch all the updates about Bravo shows on Peacock, the home of BravoCon.

During the SUR’ving Up the Latest with Vanderpump Rules:Panel at BravoCon, Ariana and Katie gave an update on their  café. Panel host Karamo inquired about updates about Something About Her and here's what we learned during the Nov. 3 sit-down. “No one wants to hear soon, and that’s not the answer, but soon,” Katie said. “The thing is, there’s inspections and lots of hoops we have to jump through,” Katie revealed. Ariana added, “we had to get a new water heater for the building.”

Katie said the updates are not exciting, so that is why they slowed down on sharing on social media. But she said that as Lisa Vanderpump and anyone with a business in West Hollywood, things can be very difficult.

“That’s the update, some final things that have popped up in the eleventh hour,” said Katie as her final answer.

The Menu at Something About Her 

While Something About Her still does not have an opening date, it sounds like they are making progress on the food that will be served. “Our menu is great, and we’re really excited about that,” hinted Katie during BravoCon.

Previously, Katie and Ariana have gone into deeper detail about some of the menu items they expect to serve. Back  in May 2022, Ariana shared with BravoTV.com at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation that she wanted to create “a sandwich that involves lots of hot peppers and anything salty, pickled.” 

Later on a podcast, Katie said Something About Her would include a traditional and some spicy offerings. "You’re gonna have a traditional turkey, but maybe with a little bit of spice or kick to it; a spicy Italian; I love a good egg-salad sandwich,” she said. “We gotta have some seasonal salads we can rotate, depending on the time of year… We wanna do beer and wine. Ariana, she can make a lot of wine-based cocktails. She has the skills for that.”

So, Something About Her does not have an official opening date, but it does sound like the menu has something for everyone.
