Stassi Schroeder Celebrated Her Book Release with This Perfectly Basic Meal
The Next Level Basic author had a classic New York City snack — and then proceeded to snap a selfie with it.
When in New York City, at least one of your lunches should come straight from a street cart. Never one to break from convention — after all, she wrote the literal handbook on being Next Level Basic — Stassi Schroeder took that rule to heart on a recent visit to the Big Apple. On tour to promote her new book, the newly minted author and longtime hot-dog lover celebrated its release with the classic New York snack.
In an April 16 Instagram story, Stassi shared a video of herself hitting up a hot-dog stand. She had firm instructions for the worker: "A hot dog: Mustard, relish, ketchup, onions." Yep, she checked all the boxes there!

And of course, being basic, she also had to get a glamour shot with her dog:
But even though a hot dog is a rather basic food, that doesn't mean it's not good enough for a Bravo's Top Chef judge. Over on her feed, Padma Lakshmi has also been showing some love for the good old "dirty water NYC hot dog."
