We Handpicked Our Favorite Moments From This Year's World Dog Day
Lisa Vanderpump's annual event was a success, as usual!
In the midst of all of the royal wedding joy, did you forget it was World Dog Day on Saturday? Don’t worry, we’re on top of it.
ICYMI, World Dog Day is an event started by the Vanderpump Dog Foundation in 2016 to bring awareness to the Yulin festival and also (later) adoptable dogs at Vanderpump Dogs. It was a success once again and so many of our favorite SURvers (and pals) were there, including Stassi Schroeder, Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor, Ariana Madix, Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Tom Sandoval and Billie Lee — and they didn't leave their favorite furry friends at home either.
Teddi Mellencamp (or should we say Teddi Bear?) was there as well, along with her husband, Edwin, and Slate, Cruz and Isabella. Missing was their elusive pup Samantha, although there were some pretty cute pups in the photograph Teddi posted on Instagram. Umm, is there a new addition to the family, Teddi? Give us the juice!
Lisa Vanderpump’s friend Lance Bass hosted the event with his husband Michael Turchin, and songstress Leona Lewis.
Brittany and her tiny poodle won another prize — this time for first place in the Lookalike contest. (Last year, Monroe won the Puppy Pageant.) Maybe these two should get on the pageant circuit for real!
And to top off the excitement, it seemed like there was some sort of wave pool where doggies could learn to surf. Every party should have one of those!
