You Have to See How Andy Cohen Redecorated the WWHL VIP Rooms
Let's just say the decor is as wild as the guest list.
Whenever I’m queuing up Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, I always find myself wondering what the evening’s guests do and talk about behind-the-scenes — where do they get their makeup done? Where do they chill out with their entourage? Where do they gossip with host Andy Cohen before the cameras start rolling?! Well, thanks to a pictorial in Elle Décor, I’m wondering no more. (WWHL airs Sunday through Thursday at 11/10c.)
Andy recently tapped his personal decorator Eric Hughes (the man responsible for Andy’s stylish West Village duplex!) to completely overhaul the show’s three backstage VIP rooms at the Hudson Street studios in New York City. "After nine years, it was time for a refresh," Cohen told Elle Décor. "The rooms were just basic white boxes with leftover furniture.”
Over the course of five days, Hughes filled the spaces with an explosion of bright hues (pun intended!) — think red stools, blue camouflage wallpaper and a pink chesterfield sofa. “We wanted tons of color,” Hughes told home shopping site Perigold. “The rooms should be a precursor to the fun a guest is about to have.”
The result? Three completely individual rooms that are frenetic, wild and perfectly suited for the show’s equally rowdy roster of guests. We. Die.
Hughes sourced all of the décor from Perigold, which you can shop here. We listed some of the most to-die-for pieces below, but click through to the site to see the hundreds of items Hughes curated for yourself!
