Andy Cohen Discovered This Daddy Hack We’re Pretty Sure Suburban Parents Take for Granted
The Watch What Happens Live host was shocked by what happened when he got the motor running.
Andy Cohen braved his first solo car trip with his baby boy, Benjamin, on Father's Day, and it was no stroll in the park. The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host told PEOPLE it was "stressful," but he figured out something suburban parents probably take for granted.
"The second I put him in the car, he starts crying and crying and I was like, 'Oh my god,'" he said. "I have this rearview mirror thing over his car seat, so I could just see him in terror."
That could have put Papa in a ton of terror, but instead, Andy just drove on instinct.
“Once we started rolling and I got the Grateful Dead playing, which always calms both of us down, he was great,” he said. "He was a champ. I actually think it’s the way to get him to fall asleep — put him in the car.”
An "unbelievable" amount of baby gear makes everything a little tense for Andy, especially since he was trying to fit it all in a teeny car.
"The convertible thing, it’s hilarious. I knew last summer when I was tooling around that it was my last summer in that car.”
Now that he's got that all down pat, is Andy thinking about expanding the car seats in his car/his family?
"If I did it, I would say I would need to do it [within] the next few years," he revealed. "My sister is three years older than me and I loved that."
Looks like Andy is already seeing some of his major traits in his baby boy, who seems well on his way to becoming a junior Deadhead who can roll to the good times with him.
