Connie Britton Has Some Sage Advice for Single Women and We're All Ears
The Dirty John actress shared heartfelt advice with a single caller... and all of us.
Maybe it's because she played the wise Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights, or maybe it's because her Dirty John character knows all about sordid love affairs. But whatever the reason, Connie Britton seems like the kind of lady who can dish out good advice when it comes to the hard questions about love. And when the actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on November 25, viewers took her to task.
First, here's the quick scoop on Dirty John, in case you missed the premiere (which you can catch here). Based on true events, the series tells the story of a woman who falls for a charming guy with a shady streak. (Kind of like a certain Orange County OG we know.)
One viewer called in with a pointed question for Britton. "After doing Dirty John, is there [advice] that you would give to a single lady to watch out for?" True to form, the actress had some sage advice.
"We just have to learn to take care of ourselves as single ladies, and we have to really learn to trust our heart and our gut, and sometimes we don't do that because we have all these other stories that we tell ourselves. So I'd say trust your gut."
