Lenny Kravitz Reveals If It Was Awkward for Zoe Kravitz to Work with His Ex Nicole Kidman
The singer's daughter shared the set of Big Little Lies with his former lover.
Lenny Kravitz and Nicole Kidman dated for one year between 2002-2003, when his daughter Zoe Kravitz was just 14 years old. Now at age 30, Zoe found herself working with Kidman when both signed on to do HBO's Big Little Lies last year.
A caller named Corey on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen reckoned that this could have been a bit of an awkward situation for the actresses, and wanted to know what Lenny thought.
"Lenny, is it weird for you to see your daughter acting alongside Nicole Kidman on Big Little Lies? And why did the two of you not work out back in the day?" he asked.
"I thought it was very interesting that they ended up on the same show, and Zoe hadn't seen Nicole since she was younger, and so it was beautiful that they got to know each other as adults and make this great show together," Lenny said. "And that's about it."
He didn't address the second part of the question at first, but he eventually did say, "Some things just don't work, but the wonderful thing is that we're all friends."
Now all we need is that highly-anticipated second season of Big Little Lies to hit HBO.
