Andy Cohen Explains the Fashion Mishap That Made Him “Absolutely Lose [His] Mind”
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host got candid about a “frustrating” situation involving shorts and his son, Ben.
After hosting countless Real Housewives reunions, Andy Cohen is no stranger to moments that involve fashion and high drama. However, he was seemingly not prepared for a certain incident that recently took place on the New York City streets. The moment involved his preschooler, Benjamin Allen Cohen, a pair of shorts, and a scorching weather forecast. All in all, as Andy said, it made him “absolutely lose [his] mind.”
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host explained it all in his Instagram Stories. Addressing his followers from his kitchen table, where he nursed a cup of coffee, Andy shared his story. “Apologies if you were in the West Village on Hudson Street this morning and saw me absolutely lose my mind,” he said. “Ben was upset that he was wearing shorts and wanted to change. He won. We went back up and changed.”
This fashion decision went against Andy’s better judgment. “He’s gonna be hot later. I explained it’s gonna be 80 [degrees] today. But he won, and we move on. Very frustrating start to the day. It’s been a very frustrating day so far. I’m gonna turn it around on the radio.”
Ben may not be down for wearing shorts, but the 4-year-old is definitely open to sharing his food. Last month Andy opened up about a decidedly sweeter West Village moment he shared with his son.
In the April 2 social media share, the WWHL host offered a look inside his lunch date with his son. Andy and Ben were sitting at a table at the West Village’s Corner Bistro, which advertises a “legendary burger” on its website. Both father and son had one of the famous burgers, and they also ordered a side of french fries.
In his caption, Andy shared a snippet of the conversation he’d been having with Ben. “Daddy, why are we sharing ketchup? Is it because I love you and you love me?” Andy wrote, quoting his little one. He added his own response: “Yes, Ben.”
Burger lunches are something of a tradition for Ben and Andy. In 2022, the Bravo exec took his little guy out for another lunch at Corner Bistro. “Taking Ben out for lunch is a JOY!” he wrote in an Instagram share. The post showed another photo of the father-son duo enjoying their meal at the bistro. They were having what Andy referred to as “the best burger in NYC.”
