Milo Ventimiglia Reveals Whether He'd Ever Use a Crock-Pot After his Character's This Is Us Death
He answered the question unequivocally on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
This Is Us fans are still reeling from the loss of Milo Ventimiglia's character, Jack Pearson, and during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen 's L.A. week, one fan got the chance to ask Ventimiglia what we've all been wondering since a Crock-Pot fire claimed Jack's life on the show: Are you brave enough to use a slow cooker IRL?
To recap, after the truly shocking episode of NBC's hit show aired on January 23, Ventimiglia was quick to defend Crock-Pots everywhere. The actor told Ellen DeGeneres on her show, "I think there was a lot of misdirected hate at a Crock-Pot, as opposed to a faulty slow cooker from the past. Hashtag Crock-Pot Is Innocent!"
He continued to profess his slow cooker love to the WWHL audience on Monday, April 9. The moment starts at 2:05 in the clip above, but we've outlined exactly what happened below. Keep reading to discover just how little he fears the cooking device!
Unnamed Audience Member Who Calls Andy Cohen Her Oprah: "My question is for Milo. Since the slow cooker incident, are you brave enough to use one and what would you make?"
Milo Ventimiglia: "Oh absolutely! Oh yeah, no, I've got a Crock-Pot at home. I've got an all-clad slow cooker — I'm big on slow cooking. I'd probably make some kind of lentil dish [with good vegetables]. Or I might do something for the next morning, some kind of oats or something fun."
Unnamed Audience Member: “Like a casserole?”
Milo: “Yeah.”
Andy Cohen: "He is not afraid of a slow cooker, people."
Milo: "No, I am not!"
Andy: "One might've thought, maybe, that you would've run from a slow cooker."
Milo: "No, I would run toward a slow cooker."
(Good to know... but Jack still didn't deserve to die!)
