Gasp! Did Someone Once Tell Naomi Campbell She Wouldn't Make It As a Model?
The supermodel dishes on shade she received on her way to icon status.
Naomi Campbell may have given Gigi Hadid some tips on her way up, but that doesn't mean that folks were as eager to see her succeed when she was rising up the supermodel ranks. When Naomi stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, she revealed that an A-lister once told her she had no chance to make it in the fashion industry.
While she didn't name names, she did dish that she was once told "You’re going to be nothing, you’re never going to be a household name, you’re never going to make it." When pressed who had the audacity to question her ability, she didn't spill the tea on the person's identity. "It don’t matter now," she said, before revealing something equally catty another model once pulled on her during a runway show.
She recalled that model once stepped on her dress. "Stepped on my dress so that it would rip so that I wouldn't be able to do the second show," she recalled. But it didn't work. "[I] did the second show. Opened it and closed it."
But, Naomi didn't pass up the chance to get a little shady herself. Below she rated some of her fellow models' physical features. And, you can bet, no one was safe from her critiques.
