- Bethenny Getting Married: Season 1
What can I say about my ass? During skating it was nearly missing because my body couldn't possibly keep up with the calories I was burning. The booty buster was initially a silly idea that I ended up adding to my shapewear line (skinnygirlshapewear.com) because once in a while we all need a little boost. As long as we don't take ourselves too seriously and don't try to be something we're not (and never forget to have fun), I believe in doing anything to make you feel better about yourself.
Skating was so excruciating, overwhelming, and inconvenient, but Ethan made it worth it. I came this far and I wasn't going to not give it my all the whole way through. I was incredibly happy for it to end though.
My family's Christmas was not going to be sacrificed as a result of my childish whims. I did make Christmas my b---h and wasn't doing it half assed. (Somehow the ass ended up being the theme of this week's episode.)
Going to the tree farm was like the warm North Pole. I'm fairly convinced that that really was Santa Claus and that he somehow delivers presents in that danger vehicle. To say that was a rocky road was an understatement. I'm so neurotic that Jason was probably a half of a block away with that saw but it felt like it was inches away. Mommy is crazy!
oh my god Bethenny, i laughed so hard during this episode!! you are so funny and even though you've taken on too much, you're still trying to be in the moment!! we all end up overdoing at some point in our lives, but as long as we know it when it's happening then you can try to take it all in and find time for your family when it's happening. i can't wait to see the season finale...looks like good news is coming your way and it gave me a lump in my throat. i'm very happy for you, i love jason, i love julie and i think you're the best!!!
You are amazing! I love to watch you and your friends and family. I love that you are so real. The booty episode was too funny.
Bryn is such an angel! She is such a happy baby. You and Jason are great!
I miss Jeana. :)
I will be sad that next week is the season finale!!! I love what you are doing!!! Keep up the great work!! I was also happy to see that you found a place for Nick in your business, he is trully an asset!! Great job on starting the SkinnyGirl Margarita and the... (I have a husband who reads the Wall Street Journal). You are a remarkable person and you allow us as fans to be a part of your life!!
I thought the only fairy tale for this year was going to be Kate and Will. You my dear just got crowned the Duchess of Skinny Girl Margaritaville. I couldn't be happier for you....only draw back is my husband keeps saying "See you could do something like that". And you know you are making people dream again. You are the epitome of the American Dream. Bless you and your family.
Love you Bethany!! You are amazing...smart..funny and so real!
So wish I could clone Jason!! One for me and one for my daughter!!!
love and health Beijos, P
Bethany you are amazing....smart...funny ...and real! You make me laugh!!
Jason is fantastic!! I want to clone him! One for me and one for my daughter!!
Beijos, P
GREAT episode! I love your "family"! I hope u bought that house in Malibu! NYC, Montauk and Malibu.......u and your family deserve it! Dont forget to get Jason's parents a condo close by......the best babysitters!
U ROCK! w the padded butt - LMAO - literally!
This is my favorite show on Bravo! I'm hoping you do another season, immediately! You are so fun to watch, I find myself busting out laughing at you. Brilliant of Bravo to give you a spin-off! Congrats to you & all you've accomplished!
Bethenny, Just wanted to say I love love love your show. It is so funny and interesting. Nick is facinating, sorry but I am old enough to be his mother. You make life so fun and Jason goes right along with it. What a joy! You have shown that you do not need all the drama to have a great reality show. Keep it up!
Bethenny, yoou are awesome. I love watching you. You are caring, smart and just down right hilarous....I love it.
Bethenny I swear you are my long lost twin! Same EXACT upbringing (Mothers!), identical personality & we look a LOT alike! Ok, now that I sound 'crazy white female' I'll move on... I want to tell you I absolutely LOVE the way you & Jason treat your employees, friends, family etc.! I am SO GLAD you have decided to hire Nick! Can you get a nicer, kinder, smarter person!!?? He is so well spoken I was dying listening to you read his blog & then at dinner listening to him talk!!!! WOW!! Oh & a quick question; Do you ever think about moving to another apartment in the City that has more room? Everytime I watch I get anxiety thinking someone else is going to come over & will have to sit on someone's shoulders ;)
BETHENNY, I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. I CAN SAY I WAS AMONG THE FIRST GROUP OF FANS WATCHING YOU WITH MARTHA, WATCHING YOU FROM THE BEGINNING. YOU HAD AN AIR OF MYSTERY EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE COMPLETELY OPEN AND UP FRONT WITH EVERYONE. I HAVE WATCHED YOU BARE YOUR SOUL AND BE REJECTED BY A VERY JEALOUS WOMAN. ATLAST, ATLAST, YOU HAVE YOUR WANTS, DESIRES AND NEEDS MET. WE LOVE YOU. WE WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT LET THAT JEALOUS WOMAN INTO YOUR LIFE AGAIN. NOR LET THAT OTHER ONE THAT IS UP HERE. HA, THEY UNDERESTIMATED YOU DREAMS, DESIRES, YOUR WORK ETHICS AND THEY UNDERESTIMATED YOUR FANS!!!
Bethanny, I absolutely loved last night's show! I was missing my husband really bad because he's been away for six days and I really needed a good laugh and you definitely provided that. I laughed so hard about the "booty" panties, because it reminded me of when my granddaughter saw a commercial months ago about the "booty pop" panties and she walked around for weeks telling me that I needed some. That was hilarious!! The look on Jason's face was priceless! He honestly couldn't stop looking at it! Hilarious!!!
You and Jason are so cute to watch and Bryn is absolutely adorable.
I forgot one comment, my daughter and I had a ball with our "Ugly Christmas Sweaters" last year. I'm gladyou loved those too!
The TACKY Christmas Sweater is a new tradition at our house ! Thank You for sharing that, we love it. and we definitely do not take ourselves too seriously. Bryn is just adorable. And you all are so right to enjoy her.
Nick; so sensitive, bright, intelligent and utterly a joy to read his blog. Everyone that is not , should stand and take notice. This is the new food critique. You and he could co-mentor each other. You both have much to offer the other. This could be the start of something BIG !
You are so sweet to see all the good things about Nick. He is adorable, witty, intelligent and dare I say good company. Thank you for bringing him into your circle, he is a great asset. Your entire happy family is full of memorable and loving people. You bring out the best in everyone. Thank you for leaving all the dreck last year and moving forward in a positive and healthy manner.
I love every minute of watching your show and I'm always so sad when it's over... :-( You are such a good Mommy, Wife, Business Women and every other title you have - Definitely fun and entertaining to watch, as well as inspiring!
My husband is now asking; when is Bethenny on? We love your show; what you have done with your life and thank you so very much for letting all of us in. You are so very funny and atune to life; we love Jason and think Bryn is the most well behaved and beautiful baby. You deserve all the blessings that befall you.
I never laughed more than during the Christmas episode. From gigling when Brynn had on her tiny Santa outfit to the ugly sweater scene and Jason passing gas (is that the sound made when the Christmas Angel gets her wings?) Hilarious
Bethenny, you are such a breath of fresh air on reality tv!! The relationship that you have with Jason and your little Bryn is so priceless, meaningful and sweet! You make the viewer able to identify with you and all of your "issues" that get brought up on very episode. I love watching every week and can't wait to see each upcoming show and the next new season. I am a 39 year old (40 this summer) mother of three (8, 5 and 21 months old; girl, boy, girl), wife and live in a suburb of Ohio. I also come from a family of divorce (when I was 6yrs old), have had turmoil with "step-parents" in the past, as well as my own parents, as a result of poor-parenting (I can say that now that I am a mother of three--and a good one). You may think that you are crazy at times for thinking or feeling what you do, but you're not! Believe it or not, you are in the norm--you just aren't shy about expressing yourself--thank God!! You are a wonderful mother to your daughter, Bryn and any other children that you may or may not have, a wonderful wife to Jason and you must be a ridiculously wonderful friend to have! Good luck with everything that you do! If you move to LA (or already have), DO NOT feel guilty about it! Your fans will follow you anywhere and you should decide to go wherever it is good for your family--and, of course, Jason's parents can come and visit as often as they can--you are very lucky there, I have to say! They seem like such incredible people--(in-laws that you dream about!). You are truly blessed and screw all the ney-sayers!! Lookig forward to seeing what comes up for you next!! (What WILL we all do when you stop being on your own show---Aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!) =)
OH, EVERY OUTFIT YOU HAD BRYN IN WAS ADORABLE! LIKE YOUR PSYCHOLOGIST SAID, YOURS WASN'T THE ONLY TURKEY NOT DONE! HE'S REALLY GREAT FOR YOU BECAUSE IT APPEARS TO ME THAT YOU REALLY LISTEN TO HIS WORDS AND EMBRACE WHAT HE SAYS. HE SEEMS TO MAKE AN IMPACT ON YOU-WHICH IS GREAT. LOVED THE SKATING SHOW! YOU SKATED BEAUTIFULLY!! THE DOG WAS TOO FUNNY WITH EATING EVERY TIME YOU WEREN'T WATCHING HIM. THERE WERE MANY GREAT SCENES, AND I LOVE HOW JASON ALWAYS TAKES A MOMENT TO STOP AND TELL HOW HOW MUCH HE ADORES AND VALUES YOU. THE SETTING IN THAT TRUCK SURROUNDED BY CHRISTMAS TREES MADE IT SPECIAL. AND, I LIKE WATCHING YOU AND NICK (FANTASTIC GUY WITH A FANTASTIC BLOG) TALK THINGS OVER AND RELAX WHILE EATING. IT'S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY MONDAYS...I WILL MISS THIS SHOW A LOT. NEVER HASN'T IT MADE ME LAUGH ON MORE THAN 3-4 OCCASIONS/EPISODE. THE OTHER SHOWS DON'T HAVE THAT ABILITY! GREAT EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!
Bethenny, I am so happy for you. What a delight you are. Not only are you successful in business, but now you have a wonderful family, a husband that adores you and the sweetest, cutest baby ever. I have never rooted for someone other than my daughter to find happiness like I do for you. In addition to all of this you want to bring all those you love along with you. You are an incredible woman. I laugh with you and I cry with you when you're at your shrinks. You my dear make the world a better place.
Do you know what it feels like to have watched your transformation on TV? I have liked you since day one and I will always be your biggest fan and cheerleader. There is no one quite like you.
I am so bummed that next week is the season finale! Whenever I have several shows stacked up on my DVR, this is always the first one I go to. I read you are coming back for a third season - THANK GOODNESS!
Can't wait to find out what happens next week but I'm thrilled that a strong, independent woman is finding such great success in a male-dominated industry. You're an inspiration for us all!
At 45, it is an interesting quandary to try and explain why watching this show is one of my gifts to myself. I have often thought that many of the subtleties of life are what make life so incredibly rich. These subtleties are often missed, but if you happen to be there for them, much of life is funny. Neurotic moms who worry about the refrigerator being cleaned out are funny. Dad's who laugh at Mom and argue over using the restroom on the tour bus are funny. The dynamics of people sharing space is funny!
What is lovely about this particular show is that they captured a family, not too different from all of ours. They have holidays, struggles, and old baggage. It is what it is and it's funny! Enjoy the ride and thank you.
Bethenny your show last night was hilarous! It is amazing to see how your life has changed in front of our eyes. You have a wonderful husband, and a beautiful baby, a crazy dog, and great people around you. I literally laughed out loud last night watching your show. I am truly glad for you. Bethenny I wish you all the best in everything you do.
Looooooooooove your show! I literally bursted out laughing last night. You have a wonderful husband, wonderful daughter, a crazy dog, and wonderful people around you. It wonderful to see your dreams come true. Bethenny I wish you all the best.
Bethenney YOU ROCK!!! I guess there is already a knock-off of your Skinny Girl drink. I was at Bed Bath & Beyond yesterday in Michigan and they had it there. I will only buy the real thing though ( if I can find it!)
This episode was so awesome. I cracked up laughing the whole time. Even my 17 yo son had to watch some with me because he wanted to see why I was laughing so much and he cracked up too. That truck ride was absolutely hilarious and made tears stream down my face.
It was great to see Nick again and you giving him advice. I haven't read his blog yet but I'm going to check it out after writing this.
Bethanny, keep doing you. You are awesome. :)
Where do I begin...when I heard the words Season Finale I stopped laughing. Was so happy to hear you've been renewed for another season. We celebrated when Skinny Girl Marguarita finally came to the local liquor store and after reading your book "A Place of Yes" and passing it along to friends we also celebrate your success professionally & personally. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Bethenny, I absolutely love you and your family and the enterprise you have created. Your new book A Place of Yes is phenomenal and I enjoy it so much I think I will eventually get an audio of it to listen to from time to time. Thank you so much for being you and for bringing so much laughter and positivity to myself and your fans. I hope to someday meet you at a book signing or event. Hopefully you will come someplace near Northern NY. Saratoga, Albany or even Montreal CA would be great! Anyways, thanks again...keep creating, writing and producing such wonderful things from your heart! It means more than you know to your fans
By the way last nights episode was hilarious! I just kept cracking up!!!
Bethenny, You are truly a lucky woman, to have so many people who love and support you is a testimate to who you are. You kindess to Nick was overwhelming and brought tears to my eyes. He will be your bestfriend forever. Please remember he has a tender heart and YOU MUST be patient and nurturing towards him. You will never be or feel alone with him in your corner:) Kuddos to everyone else, but Nick is EXTRA SPECIAL, just like cookie is:)
I LOVED LAST NITES EPISODE. I THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY SWEET AND SPECIAL THAT YOU, JASON, AND BRYN GOT TO HAVE YOUR OWN LITTLE CHRISTMAS IN CALIF. COOKIE JUST COULDN'T RESIST 2NDS!! SO FUNNY!!
Bethany, Love you and your show! Your a lucky gal to have such a great husband and beautiful child. I shouldn't say lucky! Your a hard worker and a very sucessful woman you deserve everything you have. You are truly an inspiration to every woman in America! Glad you got your own show, cuz I couldn't stand watching psycho Kelly on RHW of NY. Whenever you think your the crazy one, just think there's one crazier out there than you (Kelly)! Best wishes to you and your family! Hope you do another season!
Bethany I have to thank you for bringing such JOY & LAUGHTER into my life! Watching how you live and seeing how happy you are is absolutely contagious. Your daughter is BEAUTIFUL and so is your marriage...oh, and Jason's not too bad either! You make life look like fun, and you make me want to keep living!
Thank you for being such a strong, intelligent, sensible, emotional, and honest woman. If only there could be more of you, but I'm pretty sure when they made you they broke the mold. God bless you and your entire family...& Cookie too!
Bethenny, I will truly be sad that next week is the finale. Thanks for all the laughs you really have brought fun to us without all the petty drama. I love that you don't sugar coat the hard parts, that you really let us in good and bad. You really have the world by the tail so slow down and really enjoy it. Jason is such a great guy and Bren is alittle doll. Here's hoping we see you again and soon.
Would you believe my hubby wanted to know who you were. He is very old fashioned and doesn't really like reality shows but saw you and asked who you were. I have enjoyed your season and the fact that you share the limelight with the people that count around you. I think Bryn is the cutest little thing. Everytime I see her, I just want to kiss her to pieces. How lucky you and Jason are. Stay well and have a wonderful life. Be happy and love one another.
Bethany my husband and I love your show!! We can not get enough of it! We are so busy with our 9 month old, but we always look forward to our Monday nights of sitting down together and watching your show and laughing at you guy's! You two are so real. You absolutley crack us up. My husband thinks it is so great how tight Jason is with his money. It inspired him to get even tighter with his! YIKES! He also thinks it is great when Jason passes gas. I guess it makes him happy to see that someone else has a problem with that too! Gee Whiz! You have inspired me by showing that you can do anything you put your mind too and that you can make something of yourself! It is awesome to see what you have done for yourself! You are a smart, strong woman and you should be proud of what you have accomplished for yourself. We are so sad that next week is your season finale! I don't know what we will do with our Monday nights now! I sure hope you guy's continue on with another season. You and Jason are a real treat to watch and I can not get enough of Bryn! Every time I see her I want to just gobble her up. She is the sweetest thing!! We love your show and look forward to another season! God Bless all three of you!
Bethenny, you and Jason are so wonderful to Nick. Obviously he deserves it, but what is amazing is that you aren't like the many shallow people out there that pass him by and don't see his value. I have a son that has been diagnosed with Asperger's and am wondering if Nick might have Asperger's or be somewhere on that spectrum. I see so many of the same traits that my son and others like him share, the social awkwardness, the lack of eye contact, the exhaustive focus on a special interest (in Nick's case, food), the lack of interest in being fashionable, the ability to express himself best in writing versus verbally, and the list goes on.
I love your show and look forward to next season, so sorry to see this one end!
I am so happy for you that you got the christmas you wanted. I look to you and your shows to brighten me up. I am a single mom of 2 girls and they are 5 and 3. It has takin me till recently to get my degree in Business and I still can't find a job. But watching you and seeing that you had struggle but now have success only makes me hope I end up like you. I am moving out of my moms house soon into a rent based income apartment and won't have a table to eat on or a couch to sit on but the one thing that keeps my head up and keeps me going is watching your show. Just from watching you I get hope.
Dear Bethenny, Keep up the incredible work! Who knew that your show would quickly become my bf's and my fav show? You are so lucky to have such a great family in your life, we are privileged to have your show to watch and I'm lucky I have a straight man to watch Bravo with. ;-) Ms. Ali
why doesnt Jason have his own blogs did I miss it...you boo boo is a true angel she looks like grandma to me...so sweet sending hugs
love love love this show! I cracked up the entire show. Bethenny I wish you and your family, including cookie, all the best!
Hi Bethenny! I just watched the episode and LOVED the booty lifter! I'm 5'6 and about 115 pounds, so I've NEVER had much of a booty! I told my sister a few years back how much I wanted to buy a padded butt, but we just didn't find any around! Seeing you wear it on your show, and seeing how NATURAL it looked made me immediately go on your website and order it! I can't wait for it to come in the mail, and I can't wait for my fiance' to see it!!! He's going to FLIP!! I'll let you know how it fits, God bless you!!!
From, Stephanie
Bethenny please enjoy your sucess with your family the the great friends you have made along the way!!! People love you because YOU are YOU!!! Please don't change anything about yourself. You have been very blessed with a beautiful Bryn and a Great husband Jason. You are very grounded stay that way always and you will go far. I'm a big fan who loves what you bring out to your fans. Look forward to seeing alot of you in the future because I think that this is just the begining of along career for you and your family!!!!
Hi Bethenny,
This had to be by far, the funniest episode. You are hilarious girl! And Bryn, how gorgeous is she?!!! Especially with that little bow in her hair. Too cute! Cookie is pretty hilarious too! I laughed so hard with her running like mad on the beach...maybe that's why she was so hungry. Ethan is the best! How lucky were you to be able to train with him?! What a great guy. So happy for your success...and your show is so much fun to watch.

Bethany...I have watched EVERY show that you have been on...and I hope you never get BORED.! I love watching your whole family.. including your choice of friends. They are so diverse and real I feel like I am one of them. Pleeeaasseee do NOT stop being you. You are like my T V daughter. X O
