- Bethenny Ever After: Season 2
Before I continue I must first thank a very important person in my life. This is someone who has been by my side from the conception of Shawn Rabideau Events and Design. Although not on camera, Michael (my partner in life) was a huge reason why I (we) were able to pull off Bethenny and Jason's wedding! While the cameras were rolling he was single-handedly making sure my other clients were being taken care of. He was answering the phones, shooting out emails and doing all the day to day tasks that I couldn't get to. And while the cameras weren't rolling he was making sure I ate and slept as well as taking care of all the household duties. If it weren't for him I would have gone insane! He truly is my everything, he supports me unconditionally 1000% and for that I love and adore him just as equally. It's true what Bethenny and Jason said, "The sum is greater than its parts."
So, after the wedding Michael and I headed north to Manchester, Vermont for some R and R, restaurants and shopping. I then took Michael further north (in Vermont) to meet all of my extended family (cousins, aunts and uncles). It just so happened it was my grandmother's birthday and it was wonderful because we all were there to celebrate and it was one of the most relaxing weekends we've had in a very long time. It was the perfect end to the perfect wedding!
Over the course of the week and weekend after the wedding it really didn't soak in until OK Magazine hit the stands. To this day I still have to pinch myself and make sure it wasn't all a dream. It went by so fast, in such a blur that I am glad I can experience it all on TV. It allows me to slow it down and see what we accomplished together.
This week's episode it hysterical! It really shows Bethenny and Jason 100%. They are so madly and passionately in love. They both do so much for each other and they both balance each other out. Jason is for sure Bethenny's anchor and rock, and Bethenny and the baby are his pride and joy.
People keep asking me what Bethenny and Jason are like ... and all I have to say is what you see is what you get and nothing less.
I think Shawn needs to have his own show!!!! Loved how you handled things and your expressions cracked me up!
Shawn, enjoyed reading your blog so glad to hear postive things from you about Bethenny and Jason you are very professional although Bethenny was paying you we could tell you and she had a good vibe between you,I know some of the haters would like you to disc her,but you didn't become sucessful by doing that sought of thing I notices your ring on camera so not surprised you have a partner and to know you had a lot of off camera support, you couldn't have done it by yourself and Bethenny could not have done it without you. THANK YOU
I just adore you Shawn. You did an amazing job, just magnificent. It is wonderful that you have such great support from your partner and family.
Awwwwww! That is great that your life partner was so supportive, it is so important to have that someone in your life you can count on 100% no matter what is thrown at you, I'm so happy for you. Watching you plan Bethennys wedding was hilarious b/c seeing how all about Bethenny you were I forgot that you have a business to run as well as a life outside of all that craziness. You pretty much ate, slept, and thought Bethennys wedding, to me you looked like a robot that never got any rest or anything. It was a beautiful wedding, everything was perfect and just wonderful and breathtaking, thank you for sharing it with us.
Shawn, thanks for the blog. So glad you got some R&R after the big event. We all miss having you on the show. You've got to come back and plan some parties or something. Take care and keep in touch with us.
Can I just say - I loved you in the show and sometimes you looked like a deer caught by headlights. Your eyes said all. She could not have picked a better person. Good job.
Super job on the wedding!!!! You seem like a very nice person. I hope you and your partner have a long and happy life together.
Way to go shawn . I love your part in Bethennys wedding.I plan my own wedding for 1 year . Up to this time I remember what stress I went to.How did you ever manage to accomplish that dramy wedding only you could pull that through ever.Kudo's to you. Bravo I promise to watch and endorse to all my friend his plan tv series. Thank you Bravo!!!!
Shawn, what you did takes alot of juts!!! Bethenny has alot of expectations, and wishes. You somehow managed to pull through and give her the most amazing wedding! Bethenny at some times may have wanted to kill you, but you still stayed and help and that is what I find to be amazing
Dear Shawn, glad you both got some much needed rest and relaxation. Balance in life is important and also being able to share life with someone that supports you. Your comments about your Grandmother were very touching . Your sweetness comes across on camera and translates into you being genuine. I am sure the aunts, cousins, and all the family members enjoy you seeing you visit. As an Italian Mom I can only say that family is extremely important and that being a giver gets you a lot further in life than being a taker.
I really love Bethenny's new show and you certainly were an asset to it. I wish you were somehow a regular part of it because my daughter and I loved your humor and patience with Bethenny. The two of you were such a hoot together! The wedding was absolutely awesome, and Bethenny & Jason are a great match! If you can't be a regular on the show, the good thing is you probably will gain so much extra business because of the publicity you received! Best of luck to you!
I'm so glad you spend relaxed-enjoyable time with your beloved after the GREAT ACHIEVEMENT (B's wedding)!! The honeymoon episode was so LOVELY, but we all missed you!!!!
You might has to ask Michael "What do you think if Bravo gives me a show??? Are you gonna be on the show??" Cannot wait!
I enjoyed watching you plan Bethenny's wedding. Great job! And it's so sweet that you're giving your honey props!!!
I am SO glad that you have Michael in your life! I really "felt your pain" while you worked so hard to make that wedding perfect! You are fantastic!
Shawn, totally, totally awesome job on the wedding..I could not believe how beautiful everything was and what you accomplished in such a short period of time...I am so happy to hear that you have a wonderful life partner..it is really sweet that you mentioned him and spoke so highly of him..it shows how much of a team you are.. I just wanted to mention, I feel bad that "cookie" bit you so many times..my doggy is unpredictable as well..you handled it all so well.. Lastly...you should have your own show it would be GREAT..
Hey, Shawn i enjoyed watching you on the show, you were such a treat and the faces you made with your big eyes just funny,Love Ya!. I'm so glad you helped make Bethenny and Jason's Wedding Day a moment in there lives they will never ever forget...Great Job! Also for the longest time me and my sister where wondering and thought you were the actor from the movie "Because I Said So"..... he play's the part were he's in therapy but i did my own investigating and found out nope different guy, Wow! do you and him favor somewhat. In any case with all you do your the best.
Shawn, next to Bethenny and Jason, I love you most best. You are hilarious and those facial expressions, killers. I hope you get so much work over this crazy and funny show you have to move and hire more people and become a millionaire. Actually that event planner,Jen, on the ROHNY was a goof and can't be anywhere near your expertise. Love you Honey, you are great, & tell Michael he is very lucky to have you, well tell him I said it. KLUV
You were fantastic on the show and handled yourself beautifully under the stressful circumstances that planning a wedding for a very pregnant Bethenny (love her, too!!) presented! It is so lovely to hear of your wonderful partner and the support you give each other; this is definitely a relationship to be treasured! I agree with others who think you need a show of your own - I would definitely watch!! Good luck and continued success!!
shawn, i agree with all of the above people that would like to see you have your own show! you really cracked me up and were so on the mark with your comments! i think your own show about what you go through with party planning would be as addictive as the RHW are! i hope BRAVO is reading this!
You were so fun to watch on the show and with all you had to deal with you did a GREAT job!!! You need a show :)
You have the patience of a saint dealing with Bethanny. I love her but her pregnancy, crazy life and wedding was definitely bringing out some horns on her. You handled yourself with so much style and class to assuring that her wedding would be fabulous and it was beautiful. You did an amazing job. I'm glad you and Michael took a much needed break to visit family and decompress. Hope to see you again.
Dear Shawn, If you get your own show, I hope that we will get to meet Michael. I can only imagine what his personality is like. You are so organized and on task so my guess is he may be a tad more laid back.Best wishes to all the future success and handling fame with class and grace.
Dear Shawn, Max was trying to be a comedian and made some speculations about where you went. He thought he was being hilarious by making reference to you possibly checking yourself into a mental institution? How absurd is that? Not funny at all. He also thinks that you "learned a lot about yourself" working for Bethenney.lol I guess he thinks you were a nubie at your job or something? You think he would write about himself, and not speculate about your life. I sense some jealously my friend. I took him to task, but doubt very much that he would have the balls to print what I wrote.
LOVE you and how you handled everything. I would love to see more of you and your miracle weddings. Hoping Bravo will do this! Thanks for amazing us and making us smile!
Shawn! You went to my hometown! I love reading blogs and articles on people going to my town, it truly is a little hide away that whenever I need a little r&r from Boston, I can always count on going home and literally hiding from everyone! Loved the wedding! And I agree--you should have your own Bravo show!
Bravo!...Shawn need his own show!! He is naturally funny and I would def. watch!!! He is a cutey! P.S. So happy for u and Michael! I think it's important to have a someone that keeps you sane-I would be in a mental institution had it not been for my hubby:)
Just read how you decompressed after the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen (on T.V.)Your partner Michael is truly a saint for picking up the slack for you. He sounds like a keeper because that is what true partners due for each other. Very happy to hear that you two take care of each other that way. Your business must have boomed since the wedding. I'm glad you were able to relax because when you got back I bet you were swamped. Good Luck to you Shawn....hello to Michael and "Happy Birthday to your Grandma".
Shawn, as a supporter of all the beauty you created, I am still a tad puzzled why you were not given the thanks you deserved?Hoping someday that my Liz will have a NYC wedding and that I can hire you and Michael to plan it. It would be way more traditional that the last one, but Liz deserves the best, and I have been saving up to hire you when the time comes. Know that out there are fans that really love you and the art that you create.
LOVED YOU!!! Haven't planned events on the scale you do, but have done enough in my time to be totally amazed at how you were able to pull it together in such short time, and keep Bethenny happy while you had to work like a dog behind the scenes! My family can totally relate to the "taking care of everything" while you were immersed in this wedding. They have done the same for me many times, including showing up after a desperate phone call when planned for volunteers to a fundraiser didn't bother to come!! Kudos to your partner, you, and the amazing team you have put together!!
Hey Shawn, Why do the tough macho guys like Max want to make reference to you possibly being curled up in a ball crying? I guess manly ones like him "wouldn't cry"? As far as I am concerned you are more manly than fist pumping Max. And your blog is well written, unlike his. I think he really believes that he is interesting.
I would definitely watch a show based on you, your work, your clients. I found you at times to be far more interesting than Bethenny.
Hello Shawn-What a spectacular wedding you put together for Bethany!! Absolutely gorgeous!! You were so professional in a VERY stressful and ridiculously short notice situation. You MUST get your own reality show!
Love you Shawn......Bravo-please give this man his own show......he's sooo funny-without trying! I would watch.
Shawn- I feel as if I know you and I really like you. You added sooo much to the show. You were about as funny as Bethanny with a few of your off the cuff one liners and some of your facial expressions were even better. For example, when you asked Max to help you and Bethanny down the stairs after Max's question about Bethanny's generation and dancing. It was so suttle but cracked me up. Then that line about Bethanny and the damn cake when you were in the car, thanks for being so honest, it made the show so much more enjoyable. You could have been a total kiss up, but it was funny to hear your honesty out of brides sight. As for your facial expressions and off camera comment about Bethanny peeing in the bucket, I died in hysterics.
You are good at what you do and you really know how to please a bride and I'm sure Bethanny was one of your more diffulcult brides. I loved how you handled the dress and how you took Bethanny through the rehearsal, is was so sweet and sentimential and especially how you earlier in the week counseled Bethanny that neither she nor Jason want to go down the isle with so much tension. It was so touching how Bethanny openend up to you about Jason thinking she was all about business, but she wasn't and she opened up to you telling you she was a good person and she really loved Jason.
I wish and hope there is some way they could continue to work you into the show, you'll probably get your own show but it would be even better if you could be a regular on Bethanny's.
Kudo's to you for being such a good sport each time Cookie bit you, not many people are as nice as you.
I'm really going to miss you. I hope Andy reads this and comes up with a way to keep you on Bethanny's show.
god bless and may good things come to you, thanks for the memories, I still laugh out of nowhere when I think of some of your scenes.
