TO TOM COLICCHIO/TOP CHEF:
I WAS APPALLED AT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE JUDGES ON THIS WEEK'S SELECTION OF "HAROLD" AS YOUR TOP CHEF. ALTHOUGH I KNOW LITTLE ABOUT HAUTE CUISINE, I KNOW A MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE WHEN I SEE IT. WHEN YOUR PANEL FIRST STARTED ITS DISCUSSION RE THE WINNER OF THE TOP CHEF TITLE, THE WOMAN CLEARLY HAD A RUNNING HEADSTART. FOR EXAMPLE, THE FIRST COMMENT WAS THAT SHE HAD SHOWN SUPERIORITY IN CREATIVENESS. IT WAS ONLY AFTER YOU INAPPROPRIATELY CALLED IN THE SOUS CHEFS AND ASKED FOR THEIR EVALUATIONS THAT THE TIDE TURNED IN THE MAN'S FAVOR. MS BRACCA'S SUGGESTION THAT "WHAT'S IN THE KITCHEN STAY IN THE KITCHEN," WAS DISREGARDED AND OFF YOU RAN TO A THOROUGHLY CHAUVANISTIC DECISION. AND, WHY YOU THOUGHT IT APPROPRIATE TO TELL THE WOMAN THAT ALL THE SOUS CHEFS VOTED FOR THE MAN WAS BEYOND ME. IT WAS UNNECESSARILY CRUEL AND UNCALLED FOR. IF HER MANNER WITH HER STAFF NEEDED IMPROVEMENT, I SUSPECT YOU COULD HAVE CONVEYED THAT TO HER IN PRIVATE.
I THOUGHT THE VARIOUS DISHES PRESENTED -- NOT THE LENGTH OF THEIR VERBAL PRESENTATIONS OR INTERPERSONAL SKILLS -- WAS WHAT WAS BEING JUDGED.
MY WIFE REGULARLY WATCHES THE SHOW, I VERY SELDOM DO, BUT NOW THAT I KNOW HOW THE JUDGEMENTS ARE MADE I DON'T THINK I WILL BOTHER IN THE FUTURE.
YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, IF NOT FOR THE FINAL CHOICE, FOR THE LACK OF CONSIDERATION FOR A PERSON'S FEELINGS.
I LOVED watching Kelly Ripa as a guest last night on "Watch What Happens:Live!" She was hilarious!!! I hope you post the scene of where she turns into real housewife of NJ (Teresa Giudice). So funny!
I am so glad that Bravo was genius enough to bring all of us, "The Real Housewives". If they were to find the characters for housewives that they have for all of the different cities, I would watch a separate show for every city in America!
It intrigues me to see which of all the housewives will be the most craziest and entertaining to watch and follow. In my opinion it is a close tie between Kelly from NYC and Danielle from New Jersey. The season for The Real Housewives of New York City did just finish up last week and there are more to come episodes of the Jersey girls. Therefore an intelligent person would have to say that most likely Danielle will be the victor upon finishing this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Can't wait to find out!!!
Thanks Bravo!!! I love Monday and Thursday nights again!!!
I hate the Housewives in New Jersey..... Why is majority of the cast related.. this cause alienation and disadvantages. Please re-cast the show
Hmmm...how about Housewives of Kentucky. I mean, what about Southern Belles? Kentucky as one of the richest communities in the "Bible Belt", there is southern living and hospitality at its best, millionaire horse racers, the Queen owns stables here, and we have one of the largest Victorian neighborhoods in the country. I mean, why not add a little southern gentility with a bit of rough and tough em country living to your network.
HEY!!!! HOW ABOUT ADDING "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF THE BAY AREA? (SAN FRANCISCO,OAKLAND,SAN JOSE)THE BAY AREA IS A SMALL AND RICH IN DIVERSE COMMUNITY!
What about having a few seasons of 'The real house wives of South Carolina' or perhaps a city within the state like Columbia???
@JDWILSON, Umm I don't know if Bravo will approve my post, but I certainly hope so. Mr. Wilson you do realize that the Top Chef you watched happened seasons ago?! Thankfully Tom's comments were made as the "female" needed to hear that her actions were deplorable, it also sends a very wise message to everyone watching that her behavior was NOT "Top Chef" like! I would think that a show based on "feelings" would not have come this far! Avid Top Chef viewer, new season starts June 16th and I can't wait. Have a great day!
JD, Cat's right, your way behind on your DVR catchup! Harold is way so long ago....everyone tossing their city in for "Real Housewives"...so, how about the Real Housewives of St. Augustine" or the Real Housewives of the First Coast"....Since they are all having debt problems, how about setting them here in our "Spanish Quarter" and making them live as they did in the 15th Century, take all of the crap they have today and say, "here you go, live within your means and learn how to get along, as they had to in 1565!
aMaraNth-gLavE-KY is yes beautiful. And yes we have a lot of good things but our state is far from rich. I live in Maine but was born and raised in KY. Luckily I was raised by tobacco farmers and we was lucky enough to yes have a good profit from it. But most of KY is far from rich. Eastern KY where I'm from is poor. Now if it was done in Louisville (my birthplace) or Lexington then it could probably work. But yes if they was gonna do a southern one then KY would probably be the best one.I don't really count Georgia since they do it in Atlanta and none of the Atlanta HW's act like they are southern.
I feel that Dina was correct in feeling the Danielle is crazy and dangerous...the others should beware...if she brings crazy low lifes just to meet ONE woman...who NEVER has got in her face....what will happen when one of the others, who are a bit more aggressive...but right...get her cornered....I think Andy should take a serious look at Danielle..maybe think about just adding someone who is less nuts..but fun!!!
