From the Ham Game to her biting wit, the RHONJ star made her mark over 5 seasons.

Caroline Manzo has proven to be one of the boldest Housewives stars in years—not many have been able to match her biting wit or scathing put downs. She's also showed her softer side: who can forget the touching moment when she struggled with empty nest syndrome? So with the news of her departure from Real Housewives of New Jersey, we're taking a look back at some of her memorable scenes. "Whirlwind of stupid," anyone?

Number 10: The Ham Game
In Season 1, we were introduced to the rowdy Manzo brood. In fact, some of the best Manzo Moments from throughout the years have come from the interactions with her husband Al and their three children, especially when her kids started horsing around with pork products.

Number 9: Caroline Calls Danielle a Clown
Caroline's confrontation with Danielle Staub at the reunion was heartbreaking—"What you did was disgraceful," Caroline said through tears—but their sit-down at the Brownstone was also epic. The ladies agreed to meet to discuss Ashlee's transgression (she pulled out some of Danielle's weave). While Caroline recognized that her niece shouldn't have done that, she did provide us with this magical moment: "You're a clown."

Danielle tried to retort with metaphor, telling Caroline, "You say this, sitting there with red hair?" But she wasn't as nasty as Caroline, who fired back with the very literal barb, "When I called you garbage, I meant that you were garbage."

You know what I remember?  I remember how loyal Teresa was the Manzo/Larita families in seasons one and two. Her loyalty was the main reason for the infamous table-flipping incident.  She was so upset when Danielle appeared to threaten her friends.  I remember the phoniness of the Manzo family, lead by an insecure Lauren, on their deck as they were reading Teresa’s new cookbook.  Instead of recognizing T’s attempt at humor, they chose to show their jealousy by nit-picking the “Olive Garden” comment.

Caroline let her popularity go straight to her head.  She lost her real-ness and turned into an evil, vindictive, backstabbing ex-friend to Teresa.  I learned from watching during the first season that Teresa wasn’t necessarily the brightest bulb in the box, but she is definitely a “domestic Goddess.”  We learned in season one that she did all of her own housework, all her cooking, taking care of her children and supported her husband has her world dissolved around her.  So the Manzo’s anger over a joke seemed very contrived, to me.  This is also the reason Caroline was so willing to embrace Joe and what’s her name.

None of them expected the least of them, intellectually, be the most successful.

I think it is time to replace EVERYONE in the New Jersey cast. The last couple seasons have been the same arguments, with the same lack of results, or even moving forward. I wish them all the best, but I just don't feel compelled to watch anymore. One of the housewives who irritated & bored me to tears in all the previous NJ seasons became the ONLY housewife whose life interested me this past season.

I will miss you Caroline. I think you and Kathy are the only two with any common sense and integrity. If other people translate that as "mean", well bully for them. You call it like you see it, you don't get ugly with people for no reason and your kids are all healthy, productive members of society. Mazel to you and your next chapter!

None!  She ruined any by being herself these last 2 1/2 years ;-)

"I'm in a whirlwind of stupid," remains one of the best quips to come from New Jersey.

I will miss Caroline. She has been such a better woman after she figured out Threasa and did not buy into her foolishness.

My favorite Caroline Manzo moments are when she's not on my television screen!
