Ripping a page out of Patti Stanger’s book, The Real Housewives of New York’s Kelly Killoren Bensimon recently sat down with HollywoodLife.com to discuss her most trusted dating advice. “At the end of the day, the most important thing in a relationship is to have self-respect,” reveals Kelly, who’s been particularly vocal lately about wanting to remarry and have more children. Hey, universe, are you listening?

So, how can you tell if you’ve found a potential keeper? Well, for one, he’s penciling you in. “If a man isn’t making plans with you, he’s not into you. Period,” states the former model, who was married to famed photographer Gilles Bensimon. “If a man’s like, ‘You look great today,’ that’s not into you. If he’s not making plans, he doesn’t want to spend time with you; therefore you’re just like a tweet relationship, Facebook relationship. You don’t want to be that. You want to be someone’s girlfriend.”

Social networking aside, the leggy brunette points to cavemen as having a thing or two right in the romance department. “You want him to chase after you because men are hunters and gatherers, and women are nurtures. We need to get back to the basics,” the mom of two continues. “I think we’re all trying to be so modern, but we should just really do what is innately right.”
