Just in time for your mamma's new show. Guess you all are afraid the ratings will be dismal w/o some sort of catch. Feel sorry for Vito
That was fast! Barely a week after Lauren Manzo got engaged to longtime love Vito Scalia, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey star has set a wedding date. The bride-to-be will be tying the knot in 2015 with the reception to be held at—you guessed it—The Brownstone.
The venue should come as no surprise for anyone who's been following the Manzo family over the past few years. Lauren's dad Albert has run the catering hall for over 30 years, and it has played a central part in several RHONJ events including a New Year's Eve party, the show's premiere party, and, of course, an ultra-dramatic benefit dinner where things came to a nasty head with former NJ Housewife Danielle Staub.
Hopefully any "drama" involved with Lauren's wedding will strictly be of the floral variety. "My mom already warned me there's going to be plenty of drama. She was like, ‘Whatever you want for the flowers, you're losing,'" Lauren told E!
The reality star, who recently wrapped the pilot episode for Manzo'd with Children, says she's not sure if she'd be up for getting married on television. "I don't know that I'd do a wedding special, but if Manzo'd does get picked up for another season, then I'm sure part of the storyline will be my wedding planning," she says. "I love that we're not the type of reality family that lives for the cameras. People can get really caught up when it's their entire life. We're not the kind of people who say, ‘I'm getting engaged, how much money can I make from it?' or ‘I need all of America to see my proposal.' We live our real lives."
Lauren has already shared that she's thinking of an all-white color scheme for her big day and that the ceremony might take place at Vito's alma mater, Fordham University. The newly svelte star, who recently went through both a lap band and breast reduction surgery, also says she's really looking forward to dress shopping. "[The weight loss] makes things like dress shopping so much fun," she says. "I know I can wear any style I want!"
