The Morning After: NYC Kodak Moments

Miss last night's runway walks, endorsement disasters, and baby announcements? Get the NYC recap here!

Apr 16, 2010

Last night on The Real Housewives of NYC it was time to meet the new housewife, Sonja. But even with her advanced warrior poses and extensive dating resume, the real stand-out cast member of the episode had to have been Ramona. After proposing a vow renewal to her husband, Ramona graced the runway with a majorly bug-eyed catwalk. (Andy Cohen couldn't have said it better last night on Watch What Happens Live: If Ramona was selling contact lenses, then she did her job!) Can you believe that Jill Zarin didn't give Ramona the post-fashion show high-five she was looking for? Yea, we're not too shocked either.

So Ramona fought back about the compliment snub at Jill's Kodak endorsement event by completely making a scene. Starting with an inappropriate question about Kodak and moving on to bring up her hurt feelings from the fashion show, Ramona was not holding back, as usual. Lesson of the night: It's probably not the best time to discuss a company's failures when you're sipping a cocktail that they most likely provided you with.

Do you think Ramona will ever learn to edit herself? We're seven episodes in and thus far, it doesn't look too promising. Not only did Ramona fight with Jill, she also went at it with Kelly during Jill's presentation. Kelly and Ramona exchanged "you have no brain" strikes upon one another which ended in a mutual retreat. Even though Ramona successfully made a scene, Kelly definitely didn't help much. It takes two to tango. And we can't imagine neither Kelly nor Ramona have found themselves on Jill's good side after shouting and storming out as Jill was giving a speech. Show some respect, ladies! (Even if there isn't any!)

Hey! Absolutely no fair not to offer us the option of "D. ALL of the above!" :-)

While I found Ramona's behavior to be appalling and classless (seem to be the word of this season), I thought all the women were in rare form. I was impressed with how Jill handled herself and explained Kodak's approach to business to Ramona (the self-proclaimed business genuis). That is where the impressive behavior ended. I felt LuAnn, who wasn't mentioned in this article or up to the vote, got in one of her usual "digs". Somehow someone (usually Ramona) makes a bigger scene so LuAnn's rude and conniving remarks get little attention. That LuAnn is a crafty one! I have to hand it to her, she is well composed while being attacked. Interestingly enough, she is even more composed when attacking, leaving those she has attacked wondering "Was that an insult?" At the Kodak event specifically, I thought her nonchalant mention of Max was solely to embarrass Kelly. She made remarks about that relationship last season and has mentioned it a few times this season. What is her issue? I wish she would just come out and say what she feels. Does she disagree? Did Kelly do something wrong? Although, she did admit last week that there are many things you should say behing someone's back and not to their face. Seriously?! The Countess is not classier or more intelligent (which I think she really believes), than any of the other women. She has simply perfected her art of insulting, degrading, and conniving. Isn't that worse?

I Love Jills doggie!

I enjoy watching the housewives mostly its a guilty pleasure , its a shame people with such blessings, and abiltiy to enjoy life while so many can not at this time are really nothing more than highschool girls with credit cards, really women? My main comment is for Kelly thou, what excatly is her problem last season she fought with bethanny putting herself at a higher level, then totally forgot that episode once ok, but everytime she attacks someone she ends with but your dress is to die for or something to that extent, is she just that spacy or does she really not have any common sense and as far as being above your a pretty women with money thats your meal ticket but seriously all these women should check the values, morals and class honestly bethanny is the only one who i still havent figured out why is on such a show that truely shows wealth does not mean class and money does not buy brains, kelly get a grip own up to what you do, stop causing so many problems and admit that you arent close to the down to earth, realistic women you claim to be, if you women want some real reality go help some shelters, offer some inspiration, or admit what yall are over endulged wealthy women who are either a guilty pleasure watch, or very sad exhibit of what wealthy new york life is and honestly i was thinking the housewives of all areas would make envy of thier lives id rather have my strugglies, then thier money and thier attitudes and behaviors

Maybe Jill could have offered faux congrats to the crazed zombie, Ramona for her gestapo-like walk. Maybe, she didn't want to lie... The Ramonacoaster was in full tilt. She was a husband seductress one moment, then a crude loudmouth the next moment. It probably didn't help her to drink Pinot Grigio with the designer just before going onstage. btw: she's way too short to cuccessfully carry off the model gig.

The other annoying scene of the day was Bethenny's trip to the loo, with the door ajar and cameras rolling. That woman would do anything for publicity - including having millions of viewers watch her take a leak! Was that really necessary? I don't think so! Obviously, she already knew the results. Or else, she always goes potty when the crew is around in case something memorable happens. (Her scenes seem more scripted and contrived than anyone else's on the show.)

Jill is so awful this season. You know it's bad when Kelly is starting to make sense. The jury is still out on the new housewife. It seems like she is trying a little too hard, and I wonder about how much all the wives prepare for their "scenes." "OK Luann, we'll meet in the park. You'll take a rickshaw and I'll pretend to ask you about your boyfriend, who, btw, I've met twice already."

I'm still entertained by Bethenny, but the pee on a stick scene was a little...uhhh...WHAT?!

Ramona really needs to learn some manners. She needs to come visit down south for awhile and learn how to treat people. With a friend like her who needs enemies?

they ALL need lessons in public appearnces on the way they should act.the thing that LouAnn doesn't get is that she needs to also be in the class as a student and not the teacher.i use to wonder what the hell was up with bethenny but im seeing she has the right idea-just stay away from the drama.and alex is the only one who truly acts like a woman with a little class.but i do love jill though too but they all really do need a little lesson on acting with a little more tact.

what is up with jill this season? luann is the one who needs to get a hobby. she is not jill's keeper and she is not involved with bethenny and jill's messy situation.bethenny is married and has baby now so why can't jill be happy for her and just stop fighting? bethenny said she was sorry so why can't jill say sorry?make up with eachother and be friends again.luann is not your best friend jill, bethenny is.make peace and kick the countess aside.

Jill, Seriously, you need to get over yourself with Bethenny. Bethenny is so right when she said that no matter what she does, it will never be good enough! You are a tit-for-tat nightmare! Get over whatever Bethenny did or did not do for your husband during his surgery! Be happy he is alive and thyroid cancer-free! Geez, who would want a friend like you! And you were sooo jealous during the fashion show! Laughing at them and judging their performance...what, you think you're a model now, and an expert on that as well? Joke's on you sweetie!!

If Luann says "sweetheart" or "love" one more time I may puke.

I think Jillously had it coming to her with the remark from Ramona at the Kodak promotion. Jill thinks that she can be rude, nasty and say what ever she wants, but no one should do that do her. She is so into herself this season, she thinks the show should be all about her. I thought Jill was so nasty at the fashion show, I guess she doesn't think turn about is fair play.

With how rude she has become, I really don't care for her at all.

As far as her book on advice, get serious, she needs to take her own advice if she wants other people to.

I just started watching this show and I am already mentally drained...lol

Ramona...I respect you SO much! You looked HOT!!!
