Top Chef Masters Returns!

The culinary competition will be back for a second season.

October 22, 2009

Foodies, rejoice! Top Chef Masters will be back for a second season. Get ready for another round of culinary competion featuring some of the world's most accomplished chefs.

Kelly Choi will return to her hosting duties, and gastronomic gurus Gael Greene, James Oseland, and Jay Rayner will be coming back as judges. You'll also be seeing another familiar face at judges' table. Gail Simmons is on board to serve as judge too!

We can't wait to see which world-renowned chefs will go toe-to-toe this season, and what kind of culinary creations they'll be bringing to the table. Can they bring the fire like Rick Bayless? What adjectives will James Oseland use to describe a delicious dish? Will anyone "feel the love" as much as Art Smith? So many questions!

Weigh in in the comments below. What or who do you want to see on Top Chef Masters this season?

Aaron Sanchez and Alex Guaranelli need to be on. They are horrible to the cooks on the show "Chopped".

Gosh, I am so excited! Another Cheffie Show!!!
Let's see here's my list:
Chef Michael Constantino
Chef John Besch
Chef Mario Batali
Chef Gordon Ramsay
Chef Jamie Oliver
Chef Todd English
Chef Wolfgang Puck
Chef Michelle Bernstein
Keep giving us good food/chef shows. Thanks

I am so excited. I didn't think that any food show could top TOP CHEF but I was corrected when I saw Top Chef Masters. I am also very excited to see Top Chef Desserts. WOW. I can't wait.

Grant Achatz would be cool

Here is the dream list....
Alice Waters
Guy Rubino
Ming Tsai
Daniel Angerer
Daniel Bouloud
Chris Schlesinger
Jamie Oliver

No matter who is on it, I'm looking forward to a fresh new season!!

I'd like to see Todd Gray, Thomas Keller, and Rick Tramonto do it.

Mario Batali anybody? And yes definitely Eric Ripert, Tom Colicchio, and Michelle Bernstein

Absolutely love the guy, but does anyone else think Bayless is Ned Flanders personified?

Loved that he won but to be honest was torn between him and Keller...

For the next season, I wish you'd get Ripert in, he's another favorite... Bourdain would be another good addition but have serious doubts about him executing his creativity in the kitchen if "Into The Fire" was any indication, would still make for good tv though...

Cat Cora would be great also.

I would love to see 1 or 2 chefs from the New Orleans area. So many are very talented. Chef Leah Chase cooks for President Obama whenever he visits the area. It would be great to see classic New Orleans dishes spotlighted on your show such as gumbos, seafood pastas, stuffed bell peppers, etc. I love Emeril, but he has inspired and taught many up coming chefs and their resteraunts.....give them a shot.

Rachel Ray, Paula Dean and Giada are not certified chefs.

It would be interesting to see Gordon Ramsey vs Jamie Oliver. I think they already have an unspoken rivalry. Personally I love Mario Batali, Eric Ripert, and Michelle Bernstein but I would understand if they didnt want to. They dont really have anything to prove to anyone.

I'd love to see Anthony Bourdain and Gordon Ramsay go head to head.

Eric Ripert, Tom Colicchio, Charlie Palmer, Michelle Bernstein

i want to see chef gordon ramsay i like him he is so funny on his shows

I am so happy that Top Chef Masters will be returning. In the last one I was rooting for Hubert Keller, Rick Bayless, And Michael Chiarello from the stsrt. It was a great bunch of Chefs. I would love to see Jaques Pepin, Rachael Ray, Alex Guarnacelli,(spelled wrong),and Ina Garten. Thanks Bravo....

We would definitely want to see Chef Ludo Lefebvre back! He lost by a very slim margin to Rick Bayless in his round, and would certainly up the ante for other chefs.

Chef Ludo is forward thinking in his approach to dishes, very entertaining to watch, and he's total eye candy for the women! It's a win-win, Bravo!

Please bring back Chef Ludo Lefebvre!!!!!!!!!

Oy Anthony Boudain, I meant, it is late lol

Gordon Ramsay, Eric Boudain, Mario Batali, any of the past judges that have appeared over the years as judges for the top chef series, but hasn't appeared on the Masters yet.

Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay, Eric Ripert, Emeril Lagasse, Ina Garten, and Rocco please

Emeril or Colicchio himself...that would be great!

Definitely Chef Eric Rupert...Chef Anthony Bourdain...Chef Daniel Boulod...would love to see the "Masters" take on Restaurant Wars as well as other quickfire and elimination challenges the Chefs have had to do, like the format the show had last year. Will "Masters" air between Top Chef Las Vegas and Top Chef Season 7? How does a person try out for Season 7? Where will it be held? Thank you!!!

I second the suggestions for Ripert, Despirito, Bourdain, English and Ramsay. LOL Wouldn't that be a hoot?

p.s. No Giada purrrleaze. She's no chef. She's a boob woman. Ha ha.....

I definitely want to see Tom Colicchio. I love seeing his insight as a judge, and want to see how he handles the pressure from the other side of the judges table.

Thomas Keller, Eric Ripert, Gary Danko

how about Martha Stewart, Racheal Ray or Paula Dean???

I would love to see Michelle Bernstein, Tom Collicchio, and Govind Armstrong!

Jamie Oliver, Thomas Keller, please none of the hosts from that other cooking network!

ERIC RIPERT #1 choice! I would love to see Jacques Pepin and Marcus Samuelson.
I love Anne Burrell and Ina Garten. Rocco, Todd English and how about Pat Conroy????
He's a fabulous cook!

Gordon Ramsay would be fun!! We'd be hearing bleeps all throughout the show! LOL!!!

YIPPEE!!!!!

I thought I Loved Top Chef but REALLY LOVED Top Chef Masters!!!!!!!

The Masters were SO GOOD to watch and didn't whine, back bite, etc. like the kids on Top Chef.

I grew up with Julia Child and Graham Kerr (The Galloping Gourmet) so I am learning who are leading the culinary scene from the TV, so have no suggestions for contestants.

I LOVED the vegan challenge and hope that we continue to see alternative food choices.

As a Type 2 Diabetic, learning some new healthy but good recipes would be welcome as would someone to manufacture a frozen meal that is good tasting and good for your body too and is not too expensive.

I currently am LOVING Potstickers or Gyoza, as they are called in Japan.

Learning different flavors is also welcome as would be different spins on the Holiday Traditional foods that us home cooks could possibly pick up on to jazz up our holiday tables!

I loved the first Top Chef Masters! My husband and I were Celebrating our 25th in Napa Valley when Michael Chiarella was on, we went to his Botegga restaurant right before airing, it was the best meal! Sadly he didn't win,but it would be great to have some of the other TV chefs on from The FN. I'd also like to see Tom Colicchio but I doubt he'd risk it!

what about emeril? anthony bourdain? mario batali?

How about Bobby Flay, and of course Tom colicchio, Paula Dean. I cannot wait.

I would love to Rocco Despirito as a master on there. Also, why not put Tom Colicchio on there as well!!

Ramsay, Colicchio, Flay

Love the show.
However real chefs wear toques or caps or something that ensures sweat and hair from finding itself where it should not be.
I cannot understand the reasoning behind the absence of such a fundamental practice.
Let your next Chicago chefs come shop at the Fishguy!
We will give them an instructional as to how to cut fish.
Most chefs are not adept at it and in fact do not know how to properly butcher and finish from whole fish.
Could be a fun episode!
Keep up the good work.
Bill Dugan

I would LOVE to see Joachim Splichal on Top Chef Masters! I can't believe he has never appeared on Top Chef as a guest, or wasn't on the 1st Masters. He is a legend in Los Angeles, for his cooking & his temperment! I would really enjoy seeing him in a competitive atmosphere.

Please please please get Giada
