Chances are you or someone you know has plundered the sex-filled depths of 50 Shades of Grey recently. The wildly-popular book has sparked a renewed interest in reading, bondage ... and apparently has also led to all sorts of environmental issues. Well, according to Kathy Griffin, at least.

The comedienne and Kathy host is making the issue known in a mock PSA for the Do Something Awards, which air Tuesday, August 21. How exactly has Grey made an impact on the planet? There's apparently all sorts of, um, devices and materials being dumped in lieu of the steamy page-turner, which Griffin wants to put an end to. Because really, as she puts it, "Mother Earth needs a hug, not a spanking." Happy Monday!
