This is Officially the Most Expensive Home in America

The Bel-Air mansion was shot in the classic TV series The Beverly Hillbillies.

By Tamara Palmer

The most expensive home currently on the market in America is listed for a mere $245 million. Dubbed Chartwell, it's located in Bel-Air, California, not far from Beverly Hills — and the front was actually shot as the home in the classic TV series The Beverly Hillbillies, which ran from 1962-1971.

Today reported that the 10.39-acre estate, which was built in 1930 and renovated in the '80s, was actually listed for more money last year. A lot more: $350 million.

Only pre-qualified buyers can take an actual tour of Chartwell, but we've got a virtual tour for the rest of us:

Overhead

A beautiful bird's eye view of the majesty that is Chartwell and its manicured grounds. How many people can a house this big sleep? Well, with 11 bedrooms throughout, the answer is: A lot!

Gardens

Overflowing with roses, the gardens are inspired by French chateaus.

Fountain

The fountain, surrounded by statues (not pictured), is the highlight of the grand lawn, which could be home to epic games of croquet.

Pool

The 75-foot pool comes with an elaborate pool house, which is not to be confused with the five-bedroom guest house. Also outside: A tennis court and a garage that holds 40 cars.
