Kyle Richards Traded Her Super Long Hair for a Bob and It Is Stunning

If you ever wondered what The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills beauty would look like without her trademark mane, this is it.

The Real Housewives of Beverly HillsKyle Richards might have switched up her style over the years, but there's one thing she doesn't change: That would be her super long, super shiny dark brown hair.

OK, so she did rock bangs in the '90s, but ever since the show started, Kyle's enviable mane has been her trademark. So you might have been shocked by the preview for next week's RHOBH episode when Kyle showed up with a bob. (We were.) But did the fashionista actually decide to chop off her signature tresses?

It turns out Kyle is the latest Bravoleb to rock a faux bob, and this one is a work of art from Julius Michael, the same hair guru responsible for Stassi Schroeder's faux lob and Lisa Rinna's super long extensions. Check out the video above, which captures hair stylist Julius Michael and makeup artist Priscilla DiStasio finishing up Kyle's New York Fashion Week look.

In the clip, Michael gives some insight into how he creates those famous hair transformations, saying: "All her real hair is underneath, all this is extensions. She still has long hair."

You can see a photo of the intricate braiding that makes this faux short cut work:

Here's the pretty final result! It's "a fun look without the compromise of losing length," Michael said in the Instagram comments.

Some of the Instagram commenters urged Kyle to make the chop for real. But judging from her horrified reaction in this video when she thought Michael was cutting her real hair, it seems doubtful. Watch both videos to see Michael working what is seriously faux bob magic.
