Shanique Drummond's Husband's Lavish 40th Birthday Bash Featured a Real Mermaid
The Married to Medicine Los Angeles cast member went all out with every detail of this fabulous fête.
Shanique Drummond knows how to throw a truly incredible birthday party. When it came time to celebrate her husband Dr. Robert Drummond’s 40th birthday, the Married to Medicine Los Angeles cast member went all out for the big night. The couple shared a look at the occasion through a number of Instagram posts and Stories, and it’s impossible to look at this fabulous fete without getting major FOMO.
In an August 30 video captioned, “Happy birthday to me,” Robert showed off the incredible scene Shanique created in her backyard. The pool was decorated with clear balloons that looked like enormous bubbles, and even had a real life mermaid swimming around.
“Shanique outdid herself,” he explained while drinking a White Claw, which he swears is one of his favorite beverages. “I turned the big 4-0. She flew a couple of my boys from med school out here.”
“Shanique did a great job. Hold on for a second. I got a real life mermaid in here. You’re not balling unless you’ve got a real life mermaid,” he added, also explaining that they invited a “very limited” amount of people in order to adhere with social distancing guidelines.
The party continued into the night, where guests were seated at a gorgeous, winding table by the pool for a lavish dinner, which started with a strawberry walnut goat cheese salad, followed by a crab-stuffed prawns appetizer, and a white cheddar lobster mac main course. Sounds delicious!
The night also featured a birthday cake complete with little figurines of “the birthday guys,” Robert and his friend.
Shanique also shared a video to showcase the fabulous party (and the stunning metallic wrap dress she wore), writing, “Wrapped up the hubby’s birthday celebration with a small group of friends and family last night. Before you all start, all safety precautions were taken as recommended. Thanks Chef @shaboys_akron for an amazing dinner.”
